Thank you Lawerence, something about a lone peaceful tree in the horizon.....I was concerned about the moody clouds being too dark, I appreciate your critique! ;-)
Paul Messing - Over 30 days ago
I, for one, like the moody clouds, not that anyone axed :) They bode ill....or do they?
Janet Bradley - Over 30 days ago
Hi Paul, I thought words escaped you?! lol Thank You, and I love thunder. Do you think weather reflects ones personality?
Paul Messing - Over 30 days ago
I suppose...I mean, I love thunder too...what does that say about us?
Janet Bradley - Over 30 days ago
Hmmmm, we expand like the elements, and are moody, unpredictable, striking, sometimes thunderous and ever changing?
Paul Messing - Over 30 days ago
I'll go with that, sure :)

I just cannot get over the haunting beauty of this painting. That lone tree out there in that beautiful rolling countryside. You have an incredible eye and mind, Janet!

This particular piece evokes a desire in me to paint. I find lighting to be the motivation in my art. I prefer mundane scenery with a touch of the fantastic and often times the best way to sell that is with touches of light from amazing sources. You do this very well yourself and i admire that.
Janet Bradley - Over 30 days ago
Tyrone, thank you , I really appreciate your critique! I find you very fascinating in that you are self taught and know the secrets of the Renaissance masters, Your love and thirst for advancement shows in your varied pieces instead of getting stuck in a particular style!
Tyrone J. Webb - Over 30 days ago
I think the biggest joy of being self taught is that i am not aware of what i have and have not accomplished based on others in history. It makes me believe more that Art is a natural inclination in some and in time all things that are possible will emerge naturally. Its overwhelming sometimes.
Janet Bradley - Over 30 days ago
Absolutely Tyrone I agree, Artist like writers put their souls out there revealing themselves. You have an eye that sees and you bring it to life in a beautiful way. Not every one can or has developed that.Never hold yourself higher or lower as one judge can shake his head at your work and another can love what your doing, You are a natural and its natural for an artist to feel over whelmed to get what's inside out. The masters studied life drawing, color and perspective as they developed there techniques, does that sound familiar.....I taught myself color, breaking rules to discover on my own...I understand! ;-)
Tyrone J. Webb - Over 30 days ago
Yeah i have taught myself composition but lighting i seem to just get naturally. What i need to learn now more than anything is speed. I am trying to get to a point where my prints sell or its back to the soul sucking corporate world because the severence package is running out. I have built a good social media following however having 5000 followers doesnt help if no one buys anything LOL. All i want in life now is to paint for a living.
Janet Bradley - Over 30 days ago
Haha , well we are all in that club! Mine same thing, work faster or go to prints....are you on Etsy? I have faith in you, you have heart and your art shows it!
Tyrone J. Webb - Over 30 days ago
Im not on Etsy yet.. that is my next stop, however im a bit apprehensive of not having a print on demand solution.
Tyrone J. Webb - Over 30 days ago
If i were going to sell the originals it would work... im not sure how to do it with prints.
Janet Bradley - Over 30 days ago
Get on Esty and then ask around whose doing prints....
