Hey Andy......I hope you don't mind that I have downloaded to read it....as I don't have the time to fully read it now and great for later....I really enjoy the couple of pages I read and you have done a fab job and am really enjoying the humor:))
Andy Kuhn - Over 30 days ago
Have at it, Em! I'm glad you like it so far. Enjoy! Thanks for the kudos, too:)
Paper Doll Eve - Over 30 days ago
Do you write poems?
Andy Kuhn - Over 30 days ago
I do. And thank you for the Kudos!
Em Gee - Over 30 days ago
Finally!! Great story Andy and did you play the game at some time as you have a great knowledge of what is going on out there?...I really felt him and I loved his character....Derek was a bit of a card and had a few laughs along the way!......To me he seemed very nonchalant about it all in many ways but I do love the way that he handled everything as the game progressed, and the quirky humor!!...You did a great job with this and I had really got into it and then..............it ended!!! lol You wouldn't believe what I went through to finally get to read it.........

Andy,

Same problem again. Maybe it's a Mac thing. Just a blank page again.

I have a Mac. It's a PDF file. Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe mad other people are having the same problem and not telling me about it.
Danner James - Over 30 days ago
I'd mention it to the freelanced people. It is huge for you in the way of attracting people to your work, employment, etc. Let me know what you discover; maybe saving the work as a high-quality jpeg would solve it completely. Just a suggestion.

Hi Andy, Your work shows up in the selection smaller boxes but when I hit on them to expand I get nothing, I get the vids tho...hummmm
Andy Kuhn - Over 30 days ago
Thanks Janet and Danner. Hopefully others will keep me posted because I'm not sure how common the problem is.

Last Pass is an engaging, excellent story (IMO Derek is MVP); hope you do a post-game installment. Thx for the kudos :)
BTW with viewing: try EPUBReader 1.4.2.1 extension "add-on" in Firefox; Mozilla.org has it free…works on my macbook
Andy Kuhn - Over 30 days ago
Thank you so much, Renee! Those are both good ideas (post game installment/EPUBReader). But it's like Derek says: "There are plenty of trophies collecting dust in my three million dollar home."

Still happening; not able to view:(

Hey Andy...How are you and your gorgeous writings going and back online and already getting lost in words and catchup!..And re the above I am on Google Chrome browser and reading fine, but any probs and let you know. I just booted up Firefix and I read fine there too, so maybe it is their firewall settings ?? My youngest son Ty swears by Google Chrome and the other son uses Firefox. I do agree with the jpeg comment...in many cases!!.......I have a reply from way up that you posted in response to mine ok. I know you don't like longwinded but sometimes that is just me......like trying to explain ******* in a few words..lol. I got dusted heavily with a wicked broom with that one 20 odd years back and for some things there just are no words bar that silence is golden......and the living and learning goes on....

That is great that you could make that decision at a young age Andy, as life can be tumultuous around that time and the world is your oyster in so many ways. Not seeing eye-to-eye is a good basis for that decision, as the coach would have been older and more set in his ways. We can retrain the brain and create new paths, like through a jungle but that only comes through deep desire and dedication. You made the best choice for yourself, because at the end of the day there is only you, and the choices that we make set the path for our new destiny. That old saying, we are captain of our own ship, master of our own destiny..........rings the olde bell many a time. Truth is the greatest shield that exists and dignity is the benchmark!
You may have played football your whole life but for that decision Andy, but you actually changed your whole direction through that one solid decision and in that very moment a new path was created, and a new you and life was evolving. Science says that everything that exists comes from a thought. Look at the beauty you now create, and so much better for your spirit within Andy. In hindsight, you and all those years of study have painstakingly forged a new destiny for yourself from amongst your other creative passions, and besides, think of all the pain you shall save those limbs in old age! lol...
Derek has a lot of story left in him Andy……………and a little of both worlds is normal these days. 2 steps forward, 1 step backward……..lol!! Self–improvement and self-destruction are sometimes the partners of life………….but knowing who you are in the truth spectrum is the greatest force that exists within. Kahil Gibran in the Prophet Speaks of Sorrow and Joy and how they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed! I so love his writings. For me now, each day is a new day, untouched and totally full of countless possibilities created by thoughts and the myriad of wonders that can bless our lives if we act upon the good ones. That is the true wonder of life..........the moment that we are living in....the breath that we breathe……and there isn't really anything more important than that moment ....because that is life, alive and ticking....

Yes!!! Sometimes the way that one sees things, is not necessarily the way another sees it and I think some of it can be not about what happens......but how one handles it and it will nearly always be different to the person standing next to them. If something happens to me, I talk to my friends.....get it out and move on and not leave it inside to embitter or hurt!! fi laugh and cry at the same time and can really take the mickey out of myself!! I think I am a Rhino now...lol............tanned like a leather hide in the refining fires of life!!!!!

Cirrelia Thaxton - Over 30 days ago
A truly fine work of fiction....you sure make it look easy....love your first person point of view in this short story...fine work!
Andy Kuhn - Over 30 days ago
Thank you, Cirrelia! I like the intensity first person present-tense brings to the table. I'm pretty sure that's how Chuck Pahlaniuk wrote "Fight Club." Plus scripts are written in present tense.
Cirrelia Thaxton - Over 30 days ago
Yes...first person is definitely more powerful in revealing emotion. I just loved "Fight Club"! I like the way Ed Norton's character takes on the persona of narrator. Great film...
Andy Kuhn - Over 30 days ago
Yeah it's one of my favorites.
Cirrelia Thaxton - Over 30 days ago
I like all of Norton's films...Have you ever seen Primal Fear? Now, there was a role reversal...
Andy Kuhn - Over 30 days ago
I have not seen it, but Norton is one of my all time favorite actors. So much range - Death to Smoochy to Rounders to American History X - he can do it all.
Cirrelia Thaxton - Over 30 days ago
Yes, I want you to check out Primal Fear as soon as you can....It's a total hit....Norton, Richard Gere, and Laura Linney are quite the cast...
Suranjan Basu - Over 30 days ago
Brilliant story and very well told. I've always believed that the trick is in the telling.
Andy Kuhn - Over 30 days ago
Thank you, Suranjan.

Wow. Way to pull a reader in. Felt like I was back in my jersey again. Except we all would have had rifles aimed at Miley back then if she was what she is now. Awesome writing, friend.
Andy Kuhn - Over 30 days ago
Lmao. Thanks Erik. I love hearing a critique on this one from a former player.
Robert Graphik - Over 30 days ago
