Our Littlest Gardener, color pencil portrait, 18x24 Many hours went into this likeness. Never again will I work from a black and white photo, no matter how perfect the lighting or the pose, or how many color reference photos are available! Ahhhhh, who am I kidding? Of COURSE I would take on such a challenge again, but only at the right price, I'm afraid.

Can any of you fine folks out there explain to me why this close-up keeps turning on it's side when updated to this site?

Hello Shawn,This is water color,i take it?Nice job! any way, i wouldnt know,HA! i got the same problem with some of my art,you know, you saw them.
Shawn Saacke Crawford - Over 30 days ago
Yeah, what's up with that? I guess I should include watercolor in my description. Thanks!
Stephany Causey - Over 30 days ago
Shawn, actually you can turn them, on the computer,i just dont know how,i believe it can be done with a digital camera too after you take your picture of your art.

My trouble is, it looks correct, until I add it on my portfolio, the. It turns it. I even tried starting it sideways before adding it, but still it's sideways! Oh well. Thanks my friend!

Absolutely divine and the gorgeous spirit is captured here Shawn.....and I do understand the frustration with the no colo!!r....Just found a program the other day on an external drive that colors in no it didn't install as have enough programs on there to drive me crazy now..Coloring in b/w photos is work enough in photoshop!!.Found this program that paints for doesn't do a bad job either...I sat and watched it for awhile and can see it doing the brush strokes....How do these people create this stuff??..Re the pics turning....I turn mine around in windows picture viewer and that seems to be alright....just with the arrows to the right of the arrow tools for next pic??

Thank you so much Em Gee; Your input and detailed comments are always very much appreciated. I think you and I write the longest entries on this entire site! Much love, my sister down under!
What is the name of the program you are talking about that paints like we do?
Also I do not have windows picture viewer; however, I have turned them correctly in iPhoto and Preview but for some reason — this picture only — keeps turning sideways when I add it's a mystery to me. Then again, so are a lot of other things... no biggie.

Hey there,Shawn,i take it you didnt read what i wrote to you? Well, maybe i take it you did not read it yet,or did i say something wrong?oooops....didnt mean too,my friend.

About the side-ways pics? It's just that I edit and turn them all the same way, but for some reason this particular picture will not post vertically, even when I tried posting it sideways hoping it would turn upright... no luck. Your new painting of the two women, ironically — also sideways, is absolutely STUNNING !!

Thanks Shawn and yes perhaps we do and as I told Andy earlier, I am sometimes very long winded in expression and much love back for the sister up over the over the Pacific !!!...Dynamic Auto Painter I think. It is installed on the external drive and I stumbled on it. I don't know where the belly of it is or the installer, because it isn't in this windows so I scratch my head? probably in some other folder as I am always moving things around and end up with so many doubles........but when I plug the drive in it works away magically if I throw a photo in!!...

I seem to have the exact opposite effect on anything electronic. My husband can stand right next to me, showing me step by step how to do something on the computer, then watch as I do exactly the same thing he just did, and 2 out of 3 times, it will malfunction or do something kooky. He didn't used to believe that I was doing things he does. Something about my aura, I guess. Maybe things would work better for me down under the equator!

It is really great to see you back on here again... even just for a short visit. Hey! Have you seen Stephany's new painting of the two, proud, black women with a background of gorgeous foliage? If not, GO SEE IT ! Her work is evolving right before our eyes. This is another Stunner!

yes Shawn....some people just have that inside of as how the water in the northern hemisphere goes down the plug hole say clockwise, totally the opposite on the southern hemisphere...I have seen it on a documentary and just another wonder in this universe we journey through:)) I did visit Stephany and was just WOWED by her new works, and yes, she has definitely stepped onto another level...i remember one of the first questions she asked me was about mediums and what I used....and I said Acrylic then oil over, where you!! She is going great and instead of seeing her as Obama, so thrilled to be able to see her:))

Em Gee, you actually visited her in person? Or on her page, here. It's hard to tell since you are such a personable girl in your comments always, which is very much appreciated by All!
