Thanks everybody! Such a quick piece... I need to loosen up more often, apparently...

Love this!! I loosened myself up a little back, ...and there is an australian show and they are on the net and you should watch some of the artists...about 20mins or so and they run through a canvas and do time lapse as they work and tell all...Fantastic.It ..I had soo much fun and sooo many canvases here from crazes! About 160!!!...I did the old 3 primary colors blending....spraying with water etc...and absolutely loved it...Got the knives out again and painted modern stuff.....So inspiring. I will put up some of my fun works for you and this was just from inspiration at watching different techniques...I have been around the mill the last 12 months and got lost in so much different stuff....Fairyland at the moment, painting fairies I mean. No great masterpieces, One friend wanted 5 for a friends children, so I do them very cheaply....Then onto the computer and my old design programs up and running...Then I have to go stop!!!! Focus!! But that is artists......Do what you feel Shawn, for you...............

Ooooo, I can't wait to see some! Sounds like a blast. Do you know the name of the show? I definitely need a few sessions like that. Do you build and stretch your own canvases? If you don't mind my asking, how do you even afford 160 large-scale canvases?!

Well for a start the 160 is where I went back to smaller sizes....and I would get ten here...a few there ....go mad on one thing but after a dozen in that series, over it,!! I can't paint the same thing all the time or I would go nuts...I have to keep moving on. the name of the show is Color in Your Life!! A bikie type guy does the show and apparently it is going all around the world now. I tape it every week religiously is very inspirational.!!!! This weeks Ken Done....didn't go nuts over him, even though he is famous, but last year saw some rippers....I think they are in their 3rd season and Joeseph should watch that one Shawn and he was in the last year half way through, and how he does watercolor...He is a master and he got me going in watercolors Spellbinding stuff!! You could do heaps of lessons, ....If you have cable you are in luck as you can watch them all up there. I am on a wifi so I can't really run video as it chews my small amount of bandwidth!! Have fun!!! I don't build and stretch canvases, could paint one by the time I got through all of that .lol!! Maybe oneday.....the world is our oyster so never say never!!!

I just adore your attitude, Em. I am conspiring with your 'biggest fan' to come see you in Australia for a workshop. Of course, this is Contingent upon my making enough money on the website, so probably not anytime soon. But as you put it most eloquently, "the world is our oyster, so never say never!" Besides, my 11-year-old would just explode, his country of choice for his international project in fourth grade was Australia — he still practices an Aussie accent frequently.
Hey! Also, my first comedy writing gig was on this site for a bloke in Queensland — so fun to work with!
I will most definitely check out the Australian art show and have my husband play it through cable on the 'big' screen.
You are so smart NOT to have cable. I got a lot more done before it crept into my life.
Thanks Em! Priceless advice, as usual. We should start an Aussie/American Blog about Attitude & Art!

Great ideas across the board and I do live in Queensland...the sunshine state. although raining today which I love as it gives me so much inspiration and excitement!! Love that your son chose Australia....and love the accent thing as long as he doesn't get into Aussie slang but you have to tell him....was talking one of yours once and talking about the racks on my car....he cracked up as over there they are called know...and out here we call them *****, but racks are the racks that go on top of the cars to carry things!! one word...two means......and glad your first comedy gig was for us. I am nearly out of wifi and it is true....time consuming and may be off for a week or two so you know I shall be getting more work done too, but the inspiration here is wonderful as are the people....I could imagine you and Stephaney coming here....and if I win the lotto (which I rarely put in) I shall buy a plane and fly you things are possible if you believe....and we shall pick up a few more and have a big art festival ok...The Blog sounds great.......and I am for that one...They say that every single thing that exists starts with a thought...!!!!

So right, as always. My son's middle name is Rain, by the way. Do you type all of your posts directly onto this page thus using up your Wi-Fi? Have you ever thought about writing your responses on an offline program, emailing them to yourself, then copying and pasting them into the website? Like me, you obviously have a lot to say, and believe me, we all appreciate it here, for sure. That would save you a time of Internet time and is really fairly easy to do.
That particular American rascal was exaggerating a bit, at your expense, since the term 'rack' in America refers to both '*****' and a place to carry your luggage. I can't wait to see what you create next! And you never know I've always wanted to see more of the world, and Australia is definitely high on my list.

True....and love Rain as a name and it is raining now, a great passion of mine for creatiity..!! The typing doesn't really chew bandwidth it is loading pages of pics and videos ...and I watched this video the other day and a pair of liars they were and scammers...Should have googled them first I usually do and that chewed 350 mg....have to get that broom out and zoom over and give them a good sweeping with is a great place, although much greater when we were growing up......!!..
