He is the father of my father's wife. We used to go fishing on the Long Island Sound together when I lived in the North East. His nick name is the Captan. He is in very poor health now. I did this one about 15 or 20 years ago.

I'm confused, who is the guy with the baseball cap? Wow, the drawing of the book cover is fabulous. Okay, I have a story to go with that book cover. Since the boy is green, he was lost in the forest when he was just a baby and was raised by a grove of maple trees who fed him sap so he could survive and that is how he turned out to be green. lol ;) Sorry Danner, my imagination makes up strange stories sometime. But your book cover is exquisite.

I just saw the caption to this picture. Did you also write "The Christmas Token". Congrats on the book signing. I hope, if you ran out, that they continued to take orders and gave you a raincheck date to come in and sign. What a talented man you are. You never stop awing all of us. :)

Thanks, Grace. No, I only illustrated it. I was paid per illustration, so no percentage of the sales:( But, if it continues to sell well, my demand can increase. That was my main goal on these first two books for this author.
He called his son as the books started moving and within a few minutes we had more. I'm really glad you like the work, Grace. I still hold my breath every time I finish one in hopes that people will like them.
