Thanks, again, Grego. I'm a big fan of Rockwell's subject matter and using few props to tell a story, but I'm also a big fan of Rockwells hero: J.C. Lyndecker who came before him and Andrew Loomis. Sadly, most people aren't familiar with these other great illustrators who have inspired so many. Love the old illustrators.

Thanks, man. Love the old Post guys. If you don't know about Leyndecker, he was Rockwell's hero at the Post before Rockwell. Same subject matter, different technique. Amazing illustrator.

Hi Danner,
Love your Rockwell influence. How large is this painting? I would not know it was oil, especially when some are listed as illustration. Your realism is extremely impressive. Also, you liked my oil of horses fighting. Please go look at it again, as I replaced that faded picture with one much more true to life. It is a real compliment to receive a kudo from you.

I want to say that the painting of the boy and the bird house is 30"x30". I do love the old illustrators. I follow the same old techniques they used back then: drawing first, then oil sketch, then painting. I like your new photo of the horse better. It's clearer, but I still could see well enough into the old one. Got to get back to an illustration deadline! Much success.

Thanks, Lawrence. I really like your aviation work. Many years ago I did most of my work for the Franklin Mint. I was asked one time if I would do an aviation scene. I wanted the income, so I did it. Lawrence, I want you to know that it was an abomination! I laugh about it today, but it was a real disaster. I now leave aviation art to those who are good at it, like you.
