Worked as a lead resident engineer/ project manager for all the material testing for this project. Duties included field and laboratory testing of all the fill placement, concrete testing, concrete-core drilling, mix design review, batch plant inspection, lime stabilization, cement stabilization, reinforcing steel inspection and structural steel inspection. Additional duties include preparing/reviewing reports, project management, client communications and dispatching of personnel. • Enron II- Houston, Texas Worked as a project manager for all the material tests for the forty two story office building which was founded on approximately 13,000 cubic yards of concrete mat foundations and thirteen story parking garage. As a project manager, responsibilities included: define the scope of work, schedule technicians to perform soil, concrete, reinforcing steel inspection, structural steel inspection, fire resistive material testing, posttension inspection, thermocouples, column plumbness and floor flatness inspection. Also, review reports; notify the project team about any non-conformance and budget monitoring. The project started approximately March 1999 and completed on January 2002. • BMS Parking Garage – Houston, Texas Supervised all the fill placement, pile installations, drilled pier inspection, lime stabilization, cement stabilization, reinforcing steel inspection, concrete inspection, posttension inspection and structural steel inspection for this thirteen story post tensioned parking garage. Duties also included work closely with structural engineer and architects in helping to identify project requirements, flexible and rigid pavement design and evaluation. • University of Texas School of Nursing - Houston, Texas Managed and participated in a mix design study with Hanson Concrete as requested for the University of Texas to evaluate suitable concrete mixes for construction of a new nursing school building in the Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Concrete with flyash concentrations between 30% and 65% off the cementitious content were tested with two admixtures at total cementitious contents between 4.75 and 9.25 sacks/cubic yard. The nursing school consists of eight-story cast in place concrete building on a mat foundation. An overall goal of this project was to use 50% flyash, as a percent of the total cementitious material, for all concrete placed on this project. The proportions of flyash to cement were selected over a range to identify environmentally friendly concrete mix design with the lowest generated CO2 emissions during the production of cement. While the goal of an environmentally friendly product is desirable, the material also had to be feasible to support construction-scheduling requirements for surface finishing, formwork removal, and adequate strength to support construction service loading. The physical properties of the fresh ready mixed concrete were tested and measured for slump, temperature, air content, and initial time of set and final time of set. The hardened concrete was tested for compressive strength at periods of 24 hrs, 2 days, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, 28 days and 56 days. COMPUTER SKILLS Software: Excellent command in Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Power point, BST, MSExcel FOS (Field Office Systems), working knowledge of AutoCAD, and SAP based accounting programs.
