My name is Lauren Marie Grant, I am a fine artist specializing in drawing and painting. I also enjoy photography. I am from Apple Valley, Minnesota and I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drawing from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. As for my art experience, I was a member of the National Art Honors Society at Apple Valley High School. In 2007, a drawing of mine was chosen to be shown in the Congressional Art Competition, “Artistic Discovery”, which was displayed at the capital in St. Paul, Minnesota. For the Valley Natural Foods Visual Arts Exhibition in 2008, I received an Award of Excellence. In 2009 I participated in the Dakota County Art Fair and received an Award of Excellence and 1st place award for my painting and drawing work. At the University of Wisconsin- Stout, a self-portrait drawing was chosen for the Prometheus Magazine, in spring of 2010.
