My core strengths are determination and adaptability. I can quickly switch from designing and coding websites to repairing computer hardware and software problems. I am always determined to do the best job I can which reflects in my design work where I am able handle any task I’m given, be it graphic or web design, video editing or photography retouching.I am not afraid to learn new techniques, or systems, rather I believe they can only help in making me a better developer. My goal is to become more proficient at Back End Web Development focusing on using databases with SQL and or XML. I would also like to further my growth in Front End Development by furthering my knowledge of JQuery.

5 years of industry experience and a lifetime of study, I have a lot to offer as an animator. Working at a major video game company my responsibilities have included directing and participating in mocap shoots (optical and moven suit) creating in-game cinematics, and developing/creating characters. I assigned myself tasks and time estimates for the development of character animation sets, handled outsourced assets, and oversaw animation systems. I work closely with all members of my team, from the art director to the janitor, on ideas and problem solving animation issues in the game. I have shipped 3 AAA action titles and 2 DLC packages. I graduated from the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art with a focus on traditional 2D animation, as well as storyboards, character design, and sequential storytelling. To ensure that my work maintained a high level of quality, and to study more about animated film, I have continued my education since graduation. I have taken part in classes from Animation Mentor and iAnimate. Through both programs, animators from Dreamworks and Pixar instructed me. These programs have helped me further hone my skills and become a stronger artist. www.eric-butt.com

I write everyday and have for most of my life. I mainly enjoy writing about the outdoors, and am an avid nature lover and will climb mountains just for a photo of that mountain and to write about it. I will take hours and sometimes days, just to get a photograph of an animal I am writing about, " the perfect photo." I also worked for a municiple police department as a dispatch supervisor, writing and editing hundreds of reports for myself and co-workers. I recently switched jobs and I am now guiding tourists up a mountain in southeast Alaska. I began blogging once a week, about what is going on up on the trail. I talk about the surrounding mountains, flora, and wildlife that is abundant in southeast Alaska. Bears are a main topic of conversation, and I am happy to talk about the bears and their habitat.
