Who is Wai-Jing? Wai-Jing is the professional pseudonym – and given Chinese name – of Fiona Tsang, a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. I graduated with a Masters degrees; my thesis topic was ‘Graphic Novels as a Form of Visual Communication’. I specialize in storybook illustrations and visual narratives of all kinds - put simply, I draw stories. My main modus operandi is hand-rendered artwork, particularly inks and pencils; but I am comfortable with a number of artistic media, including digital. I have experience with various project types and clients' needs. As well as rendering artwork, I can arrange multi-page layouts, set typography, and manage commercial printing. I can create visuals to suit any sort of purpose, from posters and brochures to digital platforms. Get in touch and tell me what you want - I can't wait to start working with you!

"Eagle-eyed" is an apt phrase for Kia & her editorial skills. Kiakiali is a Native American word meaning "eagle," and Kia exhibits her namesake animal's keen sight capturing typos and grammar mishaps, like the small rodents they are, and also utilizing her sharp vision to comprehend the concepts and direction of your writing with one quick read. After a stint as the editor & reporter for WORDsd.com, where she interviewed renowned local author David Brin, among many noteables, Kia worked as an editor for an online publishing company, copy-edited the website & all materials for a San Diego based tutoring business & has been a free-lance editor for more years than she cares to admit. Kiakiali has over 2 decades of editorial experience in every genre of fiction to many in non-fiction. Since 1995, Kia has been facilitating writers' groups, read & critiques and providing many other services to writers in the Los Angeles area, Northern Virginia and currently in San Diego's North County. Kia is affiliated with various writing communities throughout San Diego County, such as A Word With You Press & its Club House in Oceanside & PWSD & Writer's Ink, as well as many smaller local groups of writers. She reads at open mics at the Club House, E-Street Cafe & Ducky Waddles, has participated in the Full Moon Poet's Slam at the La Paloma and attends various other read & critiques. Kia has served as a judge for the San Diego Book Awards and books she edited have been nominated, as well. Kia facilitates a writers' group in Encinitas and a Healing Through Writing workshop in Carlsbad. Currently she is accepting participants for both an Artist's Way and Walking in This World workshop. She has limited openings for private editorial clients. Most recently, she won first place in A Word With You Press' "One Tight Write" Contest with a write off entry summing up a life in 50 words.

I am English but have been living & working in Johannesburg, South Africa since 1982. I am a graphic designer, illustrator and fine artist; 20 years' experience with Apple systems, the last 17 years of which have been spent as a senior graphic designer with Standard Bank South Africa. I have xtensive experience in print design, all below-the-line design handled from concept to print ready, plus advertising and related elements. In addition I have completed a considerable qualtitiy of banner etc design for web. In addition I handle logo and corporate identity, newsletters, t-shirt design, posters, signage etc., plus commissions for pet & wildlife portraiture and book editing and illustration undertaken. Over this last year I have done several series of children's book illustrations and am now working digitally as well as manually. I am able to draw pretty much anything, but am most inspired by the nature and animals. I can work in most media, from pen & ink, sketches to detailed watercolours.. and with Photoshop and a digital pad & pen I now enjoy creating artwork which is easily revisable and suitable for illustration work. For the past year I have been freelancing from my studio at home. I have built up an international client base including clients from Australia, Spain, UK and Canada as well as locally in South Africa. My art website can be viewed at www.wix.com/chizjudgedesign/illustration_Design-portfolio and a graphics portfolio can be emailed on request, but a small lo-res version is viewable in my Freelanced portfolio.
