I'm a freelance writer living in Barrie, ON. and have for the last five years written a weekly column for both The Barrie Examiner and The Innisfil Examiner. This column, "Paper View," is of an observation/opinion nature, zooming in on recent local and national news. I've also written in the last five years dozens of articles (mostly business profiles) for the Examiner's sister publication, Barrie Business Magazine. In the last six months I've done extensive website writing and editing for Carpe Diem Asset and Property Management, based in Barrie. I am 18 years old, a senior in high school living in Grand Ledge Michigan. I plan on attending art school in the fall of 2012, at either College for Creative Studies in Detroit, or Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids. I am mostly interested in the product design related departments, but am especially drawn to furniture design. In the last four years of my artistic development I have experimented with many mediums of fine arts and have been inspired to make art my my life path. As of right now I have a handful of completed and portfolio worthy works, with many more on the way. I have worked with mostly acrylic paints and some watercolor, and am in the process of my first oil painting, with my encaustic as my next big plan! However I do enjoy basic pencil drawings and pastels, charcoal, and even ink pens.
