Since 2007, I've been an independent consultant specializing in all things writing. Travel, business case studies, online copy for start-up's to Microsoft. That said, travel is my passion! I've meditated in South India's ashrams, jogged the beaches of Ipanama and watched the sunset over Mt. Fuji, all research for a book that's in the works! Most of the travel has been subsidized by consulting projects. I'm a freelance media producer and marketing specialist supporting an eclectic breadth of clients that include a global innovation forum, top-ranked business school and infant start up's living the IPO dream! My travel writing is only exposed on my blog, www.wanderingwedges.com, however I've published case studies and written a monthly column called 'Millennial Insights' distributed to YEO/global leaders.

I'm a freelance illustrator who specializes in cartoon illustrations, comics, and posters geared towards children and adults. Most of my work is penciled and inked traditionally and then colored and completed digitally in Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. I have an ongoing webcomic named "The Adventures of Death Elf and Woose" ; I create weekly "Geek Wars" posters which pitch comic book and movie icons against each other; I make "Pattern Monsters" every couple of weeks; and I do freelance children's book illustration as my day job. My greatest artistic skills are my mastery of pen and ink, funky coloring, and zany character designs. My work isn't your ordinary looking artwork; it's more like if Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network had a love child that Dreamworks animation then drew and animated. I excel at creating odd-ball and unique character designs, environments, poster illustrations, and organized artistic chaos. The artwork that I create is so jam packed with visuals, that the viewer is stopped in his tracks and forced to examine every last ounce of detail in the artwork. My work is memorable and eye-catching, which has been a major selling point with advertisers and my past work clients. I've worked for several years as a textbook illustrator for an educational press, worked as a cartoonist for a college newspaper, and contributed freelance designs to tee shirt companies, theater companies, i-phone app designers, book publishers, churches, non-profit institutions, magazines, and many other printed and digital producers. I am available by email 24/ 7, and can be reached by phone most days between the hours of 10 a.m. and midnight. Samples of my work and my contact information, can be seen here on my blog and at ethanmongin.carbonmade.com. My payment terms are geared towards simplicity. I work for either an hourly fee or for a base fee. For hourly work, I expect to be paid on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. For base fee work, I expect to be paid 50% of the total fee upon client approval of penciled artwork, and then the final 50% upon delivery of the completed artwork. I expect to be paid within a week of delivery of final artwork.

Hello there, I am freelancer who loves to create bold and detailed illustrations for children's books! It is a very fun process which starts out with a discussion with you so that all the project details are established. Once we agree to collaborate, I will create sketches for the illustrations on paper which then get submitted to you for the opportunity to review and provide feedback. Once you are satisfied with this milestone, I will develop the sketches into the final compositions which can be done in any media whether digital (Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator) or traditional, including paint, watercolor pencils, charcoal, and graphite pencils. As with the preliminary sketches, this finished work will also be submitted to you. If you plan to self publish, I will format the content, using Adobe InDesign, and I am very familiar with Create Space. My background in the design/illustration field consists of Graphic Design Certification from Allentown Business School; Allentown PA in December 2001) and a B.A.degree in Studio Art from Hood College; (Frederick Maryland) in May of 1994. My work experience in this area includes the creation of 10 illustrations, plus cover and formatting of "Wally and His Adventures With Cleo" by Dolores Hans (January 2018 - April 2018). I also illustrated and formatted the book "Kayla and Kyle Plant Corn" for author Mary Streitmatter (July 2017-September 2017). Portfolio samples and references are available on my profile and portfolio, and you may also see my work on Behance by accessing the following link: https://www.behance.net/lssk1971. I cannot wait to hear from you!
