Character Animator Mane 6 (www.mane6.com) I am a character animator for the upcoming freeware game: Fighting is Magic. I do the animations in flash, and post process them through Photoshop CS2. this includes indexing colors and handling palette files. Freelance Cartoonist Deviantart, on campus, etc. I am almost always working on commissioned works using Open Canvas to sketch and line the works, and Photoshop CS2 to render the scenes. After designing a character for the client, sometimes I am then commissioned a short animation using said character in Flash. I am constantly trying to learn new techniques in coloring and movement, and hope to get a more structured hands-on experience working with the software for a company or group.

PERRY MILOU IS ARGUABLY ONE OF THE NATION’S TOP EMERGING CONTEMPORARY POP ARTISTS. CRITICS AND COLLECTORS HAVE HAILED HIS BOLD, VIBRANT PALETTE OVER THE PAST 20 YEARS. BORN AND BRED IN PHILADELPHIA, MILOU CONTINUES TO EXPLORE POP IMAGERY AND AS THE WORLD ENTERS YEAR 2010, HIS PROLIFIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS CONTINUE TO MOUNT AND INSPIRE. MILOU IS A TALENTED FORWARD THINKER. HIS BODY OF WORK HAS OFTEN BEEN DESCRIBED AS “ALLURING”, “BRILLIANT”, “GLAMOROUS” AND “VIBRANT.” HE CREATES A BLEND OF POP CULTURE CONTEMPORARY ART, THAT IS OFTEN A TRIBUTE TO ICONS, ATHLETES AND CELEBRITIES. MILOU’S CURRENT STYLE IS SIMPLY CALLED ”RAIN”, THE SPONTANEOUS VERTICAL RUNNING OF HIS OILS. THIS PARTNERED WITH HIS INCORPORATION OF SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS IS CUTTING EDGE AND EXTREMELY UNIQUE TO THE ARTIST. MILOU EMPLOYS A RICH PALETTE TO CREATE VIBRANT REPRESENTATIONAL WORKS IN MULTIPLE GENRES. “MY AESTHETIC TODAY IS ABOUT FANTASY. THE WORK IS BOLD, EXCITING, AND GRAPHIC, IN YOUR FACE WITH VIBRANT COLORS “SAYS MILOU. ”I WANT MY WORK TO EVOKE AN AURA OF BEAUTIFUL FEELINGS. HIS MOST CURRENT SERIES, “ LOVER LIPS ” IS A COLLECTION OF LARGE ICONIC POP PUCKERS! PAINTED IN MILOU’S MOST RECENT RAIN STYLE, HE ILLUSTRATES BOTH CLASSIC AND CONTEMPORARY LIPS SUCH AS SOPHIA LOREN, BRIGITTE BARDOT & ANGELINA JOLIE. ANOTHER NOTEWORTHY SERIES IS HIS “VEGAS ICON PLAYING CARDS,” A DECK OF ULTRA POP OILS COMPLETE WITH SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS AND DECOUPAGE QUOTED BORDERS. (SEE CONCEPTS @ PERRYMILOU.COM THE PERSONABLE MILOU BEGAN HIS CAREER AS A PAINTER AND HIS LONG LIFE PASSION FOR IT AT THE AGE OF FIVE. AS HE TELLS THE STORY, IT ALL STARTED IN THE IST GRADE, WHEN HE WAS ASKED TO CREATE A MURAL ON GIGANTIC SHEET OF BROWN CRAFT PAPER. YOUNG MILOU, CRAYONS IN HAND, STARTED DRAWING AND STARTLED EVERYONE IN SITE BY CREATING SOMETHING TRULY EXTRAORDINARY FOR AN ARTIST OF ANY AGE. NATURALLY HE WAS ASKE D TO FINISH REST OF THE PROJECT BY HIMSELF, WHICH YOU MIGHT SAY WAS HIS FIRST “COMMISSION.” WHILE IT WAS INDEED OBVIOUS THAT HE HAD A RARE GIFT, WHAT PERRY MILOU REMEMBERS MOST ABOUT THAT EXPERIENCE IS THAT AT THAT EXACT MOMENT, HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTED TO DO WITH HIS LIFE. AND BOY HAS HE DONE IT. HIS VISIONS AND HIS PASSIONS WERE SEEMINGLY ALWAYS INDIVIDUAL ONES, EVEN IN HIS DAYS AS A GRAPHICS ARTS MAJOR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA, BFA 1985-90, WHERE HE WAS THE FIRST STUDENT IN THE COLLEGE’S HISTORY TO VIRTUALLY CREATE HIS OWN MAJOR. AS HE CONTINUES TO GO HIS OWN WAY, CREATING WHAT HE CALLS A” HYBRID” STYLE THAT DRAWS ON THE INFLUENCE OF JUST ABOUT EVERY ARTIST THAT EVOKED A FEELING IN HIM. THOSE WIDE RANGING INFLUENCES INCLUDE FRENCH IMPRESSIONISMS FAMED VANGOGH, THE RENAISSANCE MASTER BOTECELLI, BUT MOSTLY POP ART ICONS FROM THE SIXTIES, WARHOL, MAX, LICHENSTEIN, AND WESSELMAN.PERRY MILOU WILL BE THE FIRST TO TELL YOU THAT HE CAN AND WILL PAINT IN ANY STYLE, AND WHEN PAINT FINALLY DRIES TO CANVAS--BE IT A ROMANTIC SCENCE OF VENICE, A PORTRAIT OF ALLEN IVERSON, MEGAN FOX, OR PRESIDENT OBAMA—IS TOTALLY AND ABSOLUTELY A MILOU!! MILOU STATES, “ I PAINT WHAT I SEE, AND SEIZE WHAT I PAINT” IN 2003 MILOU FULFILLED AN ENDURING INSPIRATION, THE CREATION OF A GALLERY IN WHICH TO HOUSE HIS WORKS. THE PERRY MILOU GALLERY, LOCATED DIRECTLY OFF RITTENHOUSE SQUARE IN PHILADELPHIA OPENED ITS DOORS IN MAY OF 2003. WITH HIS NEW GALLERY ON THE MAP, MILOU RECEIVED A RARE OPPORTUNITY, A COMMISSION FROM THE PHILADELPHIA MUSEUM OF ART! RETAIL MERCHANDISE GURU AND PAST CLIEN FROM MILOUS 1999 CHILDREN'S STUDIO IN BALA CYNWYD, STUART GERSTEIN, TAPPED THE ARTIST TO CREATE LARGE OILS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE VANGOGH RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBIT AT THE MUSEUM. THE MUSEUM PURCHASED THE COPY RIGHT AND MILOUS VANGOGHESQUE T-SHIRTS AND JIGSAW PUZZLES STILL SELL TO THIS DAY AT PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. WITHIN 18TH MONTHS, A RISING REAL ESTATE BOOM FORCED PERRY OUT OF 18TH STREET, SO WITH GREAT ENERGY HE SIMULTANEOUSLY LAUNCHED A BOUTIQUE GALLERY ON 1805 CHESTNUT STREET NEXT DOOR TO RESTAURANTEUR VISIONARY STEPHEN STARR.’S CONTINENTAL MIDTOWN. WORKING IN A MUCH SMALLER SPACE, 600 SQUARE FEET WAS VERY DIFFICULT AND CHESTNUT STREET RAN ITS COURSE IN LATE 2006.THROUGH TRANSITION THE PHILADELPHIA MUSEUM OF ART CAME CALLING AGAIN, AND MILOU WAS COMMISSIONED TO CREATE A PORTRAIT OF FOUNDING FATHER BENJAMIN FRANKLIN TO COMMEMORATE HIS 300TH BIRTHDAY. THE POP OIL WAS PRESENTED AT A GALA EVENT AT THE NATIONAL CONSTITUTION CENTER DURING THE SUMMER. AFTER A YEAR OF TRAVEL AND PAINTING OUTDOORS, THE PROLIFIC ARTIST SETS HIS EYES ON YET ANOTHER PRIZE, A 2200 SQ FT CHELSEA LIKE SPACE DIRECTLY ON RITTENHOUSE SQUARE. AND SO GALLERIA 1903 WAS CONCEIVED WITH PARTNER SURREALIST ARTIST THOMAS DELLAPENNA. IT WAS DISTINCTLY PHILADELPHIA'S ONLY REAL BOTTEGA OF WORKING FINE ARTISTS, WHILE EXHIBITING A STABLE OF REGIONAL AND NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED PAINTERS A LIKE . ALWAYS SEEKING OUT OF THE BOX EXPOSURE, MILOU COLLABORATED WITH LOCAL PRODUCTION COMPANIES N-SQUARED AND P.R DIVA KRISTA BARD TO LAUNCH THE HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL RED HOTT EXHIBIT IN NOV 2007. THE ****** FINE ART SHOW DREW GREAT ATTENTION CAUSING A RIFT WITH THE ARTISTS LANDLORDS. THE UNLAWFUL EVICTION OF MILOU REMAINS IN QUESTION, AND CURRENTLY AS OF 2010 THE ARTIST HAS LAUNCHED A DISCRIMINATORY LAWSUIT AGAINST RITTENHOUSE PLAZA INCORPORATED. AN ARTIST ALWAYS ON THE MOVE, MILOU AND COLLEAGUE THOMAS DELLAPENNA SET THEIR SITES ON MIAMI IN 2008. THE REASON…. THE BURGEONING ART DISTRICT OF WYNWOOD, HOME TO WORLD RENOWN FAIR, ART BASEL. MILOU GALLERY LAUNCHED IN MAY 2008 ON NW 36 STREET NEIGHBORING INTERNATIONAL CURATOR BERNICE STEINBAUM .A YEAR STINT IN WYNWOOD WAS EXCITING AND SUCCESSFUL SEEING MILOU LAUNCH HIS HIGHLY ACCLAIMED INTERACTIVE CHARITY PROJECT “PUCKER UP’’ “ IN ADDITION MILOU GARNISHED REPRESENTATION FROM MAC ART GROUP, COMMISSIONED BY CEO PUBLISHING GIANT MARY ANN COHEN TO CREATE HIS OBAMA SERIES. IN MAY OF 2009 THE POP ARTIST RETURNED HOME SEEKING SOLITUDE OF A PRIVATE STUDIO AND CLOSER PROXIMITY TO THE EPICENTER OF THE ART WORLD, NEW YORK'S CHELSEA ART DISTRICT. PERRY MILOU REMAINS A PEOPLES ARTIST. HE CONSIDERS SHARING HIS NATURAL TALENT AN OBLIGATION TO GIVE BACK TO OUR SOCIETY. MILOU IS CONSTANTLY SEEKING TO COLLABORATE WITH NEW CHARITIES, PHILANTHROPIC AND CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS. HIS MOST CURRENT NOTE WORTHIES INCLUDE: THE NATIONAL HISPANIC MEDICAL ASSOCIATION, UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI SYLVESTER COMPREHENSIVE CANCER RESEARCH CENTER, PHILADELPHIA MURAL ARTS FOUNDATION, CARDIOVASCULAR INSTITUTE OF PHILADELPHIA, SUSAN B KOMEN BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION, AND BREASTCANCER.ORG. PERRY MILOU CURRENTLY RESIDES IN PRINCETON NEW JERSEY WIFW HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE ANGELA AND DAUGHTER FRANCESCA,,, HE PAINTS DAILY IN HIS STUDIO PURSUING NEW DREAMS AND GOALS IN HIS EVERY WAKING MOMENT

I studied at M.S. University where I gained a BFA (Graphic Design) Distinction. During the BFA Graphic Design course I specialised in several areas of design which included corporate identity, packaging design, editorial & information design and photography. These specialist subjects gave me the knowledge and experience necessary to produce well researched, carefully planned and imaginative pieces of work. My own business helped me liaise directly with clients and build a thorough understanding of their requirements. I was able to manage and produce work to tight deadlines and gained knowledge of the print process. I became adept at developing artwork from the concept stage to finished printed product. In my free time I use an Adobe CS5 which helps me to explore different software packages and produce freelance work for clients. I am an inspired and talented designer with strong typographic and layout skills, a good team player who can work on his own initiative as well. I enjoy challenges and have always found researching and completing projects to deadlines very satisfying and able to manage multitask. For these reasons the profession of graphic designer suits my personality and skills. I am fully committed to this career and very keen to progress further in the profession.
