Dear Prospective Employer: I'm a repped comic/video game/screenwriter with extensive experience and knowledge in all mediums of writing, who I think you might be interested in. Last month I wrote the trailer for an upcoming video game developed by CCP Games (Eve Franchise). At current, I have a Sci-Fi/Thriller feature, "Flashes," (Donny Boaz - "Dallas," Elle LaMont - "Machete Kills") which is currently in post-production and to be released this summer. As of last September, I optioned another Sci-Fi/Thriller feature to a VFX Supp (who worked on AVATAR, I AM LEGEND, 300, etc.) looking to make his foray into directing. In January 2013, my ongoing comic “Noctua” was picked up by New York Times Best-Selling Publisher Alterna Comics. Earlier last Spring I wrote the proof-of-concept short for RAIDER: ORIGINS in anticipation of Crystal Dynamics new Tomb Raider video game, which they subsequently used for marketing. I'm currently in negotiations with Humanoids Publishing to work on a Graphic Novel to be released both in the States and abroad. With regards to TV, I'm currently developing two separate Pilots with a Canadian Producer who is pitching the projects to networks both locally and in the States. In addition to my own projects, I've done a number of Ghost Writing, Contract, and Work for Hire assignments for notable writers and directors. From a corporate perspective, I've worked as a Copywriter and headed up Sales & Marketing for The Henderson Collection (portfolio link in my resume). I took the initial telephone instructions, ascertained what the prospective client’s problems were and set up meetings between Mr Theron and the clients. In instances were these clients were upset by the litigation in question, I was able to calm them down and give them some comfort without giving them legal advice- as I am obviously not permitted to do. I was also requested to do certain “casual” letters to clients, correspondents etc, which took some of the workload off the attorney. I had to resolve all queries as far as I could and thereafter refer it to the Senior Partner should it become necessary. I was also responsible for registering New Companies and Closed Corporations and have dealt a lot with Cipro / CIPCin this regard. REASON FOR LEAVING: I was offered a key position at ACT with a larger salary.
