I am a 26 year old Graduate student working on my Master's of Education and my Teaching Credential. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing and, while I do not have any real experience editing I have a love for science fiction, fantasy, romance and nearly any other type of book you put in front of me. I enjoy reading and writing, and am knowledgable in a number of different fields; though that is through my own research abilities and reading habits. I have worked as a substitute teacher for the Lake Elsinore Unified School District for the past three years, passed both the CBEST and the English CSET and am considering a Master's in English and a Bachelor's in History.

Freelance proofreading is the service I am offering, particularly as relates to technical literature but also across any range of documents or websites. I have a degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, and my job experience includes writing numerous lab reports for release to outside customers and compilation of many technical leaflets over the various products my employer offers. To dispel any notions that I may have the grammar skills of a stereotypical engineer, I will mention that aside from having a perfect math score on the SAT, I nearly had a perfect verbal score as well!

I feel often times we don’t really see what is in the world around us, things we see every day become less special to us and we forget the beauty of life. My work is to focus on the beauty that we often times forget. I try to bring the special back to the mundane objects that become the focus of my work. When I paint I try to forget what I know about the subject, to see it with new eyes brings new life back into the objects around me. A clothespin can be a beautiful mix of textures, shapes, and colors. Common fruits and vegetables have more colors and shapes than I ever knew once I focus on them for the subject of my paintings. I tend to paint small works as I can focus on one small object and really see it, my goal is to capture the image before me. Currently I am painting one small painting almost every day. Creating art is a constant learning adventure and I feel that this project allows me to learn constantly and keep the passion of art in my life.
