My Value Proposition I entered the job market in 1999, and have worked for 2 companies in these 11 years – Eskom and ABSA. I have been with my current employer, ABSA for more than 4 years. Attached is my CV, which details my skills-set. However, what it does not tell you is how I use these learnt skills. The various positions I have held, have helped me understand that it is important to obtain buy-in from colleagues and stakeholders, and that I should be part of the solution. I have the ability learn new skills in varied fields, and adapt with pace. I have the ability to determine strategy for project implementation, ascertain solutions and have honed and developed my people skills. When communicating via email, presentations and with people – I communicate to be understood. With this aim my communication material (emails, spreadsheets, presentations, reports) are simple and focused - keeping “subject matter jargon “to a minimum. I am analytical, and this skill enables me to analyze quickly and logically what it means for business, and how it affects processes. Similarly, my problem-solving skills help me to look at a problem from first-principles and be able to 'put the pieces of the puzzle together' and see where faults and obstacles exist to process efficiency. This 'top-down, bottom-up' approach is a key skill in any line of business. I bring with me a profound understanding of and for environmental stewardship. I have worked in the environmental field at Eskom for 6 years in power stations, and at Head Office. Hence I have the onsite experience, and the broader strategic view. Naturally, I have high energy levels, and possess the drive to perform my best at whatever I am tasked with. I have just completed a masters’ certificate course at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in "Environmental and Sustainable Development Law". I am currently reading "International Environmental Law" also within a masters’ certificate programme at Wits.

Songwriter, Music Production, Guitarist, Singer, and Instructor I grew up in Chicagoland listening to a diverse selection of seventies artists on Chicago’s then mega-station, WLS Radio, forming a love for many styles of music early on in my life. Continuing in this tradition throughout the eighties, nineties, and right into the current century; my influences range from classical to hard rock right on to modern jazz. My writing style combines these elements with my love for power pop, creating harmony-laden power-pop guitar-rock. Phew, now that’s a category! A new genre, I think not, but this meld of rock-style guitar and harmony-laden pop music has become my signature style. I studied music formally and was awarded the Presidential Scholarship in Classical Guitar Performance from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago and received another full-tuition performance scholarship from the Chicago Musical College to study classical guitar with Paul Henry. I attended many classical guitar master classes, most notably the International GuitarFest at the Boston Conservatory of Music studying with Hubert Kappel, Bruce Holzman, and Stephen Aron to name a few. Although I continue to write in my signature harmony-laden power-pop guitar-rock style, every-so-often I enjoy intertwining more complex guitar work into my music.

Like many artist I more stumbled into this field rather than planned for it! I have always enjoyed drawing and making comic books even from the time I was a small child,For a time my dream was to become an illustrator at marvel for X-men (Im a huge Jim Lee fan) I have an A.A.S in Graphic design and also in communications, And have studied Film production. At 21 I wrote, storyboarded, directed and financed a Independent feature film "Big Numbers" which played at several festivals in the U.S. and a international festival in South Korea. Along with my interest in film and art, is fashion and in 2005 I launched a clothing company Rako World. The style I present in Rako is a combination of Hip-Hop and Punk fashions, I actually get most of my insperation for the clothing from music and Anime. Music is a big part of what inspires me and fuels my creativeness. I look at each new progect as a challenge and an opportunity for me to grow as an artist, Please take a moment to look at my work, and if you have any questions feel free to ask me.
