In 2006 Ry co-founded design label are/why?, a creative space for a range of artists across Australia to collaborate in fashion, design, music and animation. Highlights for are/why? include animation projection at Fuse Festival and This Is Not Art festival, and the nationally-screened video clip for Australian band Sydonia. Ry has exhibited extensively in Newcastle with the ArtHive crew and in 2012 had his first solo show in Melbourne. Ry has since been commissioned by local theatre and music groups for animation projections, digital artwork and short animated clips.
