ABOUT ME My name is Leslie Pinto. I am an artist & graphic designer from Cali, Colombia. I was adopted by a loving and caring woman called Paulette Ghitis, she is my mom. Thankfully she has always encouraged me to follow my love for art. Since I can remember I have always been fascinated by artistic expression. My birthday presents were usually crayons, coloring pencils, and paints, anything and everything related to art! In high-school I was the girl who always made all of the school signs and decorations for the festivities, which I loved doing! Not only did I get to put into practice my passion, but I could also skip class! My thesis for graduating from high-school was also very much related to art and in particular with feminine interpretations. I picked 5 art pieces from different famous artists like Leonardo da Vinci and had to reinterpret the characters with women’s bodies, while maintaining the expression and concept of the masterpiece. At that time, I just painted the women’s bodies, not their faces, and the end results were really cool. With time I keep exploring and evolving to find my own style. I went to college to study graphic design, which was very constructive not only for my artwork, but also for my understanding of color composition which I think is very important for an artist. I also learned the difference between art and graphic design. Art is very personal, while graphic design is communicating your client's ideas. This is why I am particular about my design related jobs because I would not feel comfortable communicating an idea that I do not support. Art is more like materializing your thoughts and emotions through a canvas. Each painting I start has a life of its own. I don’t think about whom my target client is or how I will sell it. I just think of my blank canvas, and how my idea, my emotions will express themselves on the canvas. When it is finished, it gives me a great sense of satisfaction. MY RESUME Objective Meet new people in the industry, never stop learning or enjoying my job and someday be know for my work. Summary Of Qualifications Result-oriented, high energy, hands on professional, responsible, hard worker, fast learner, lots of creativity, innovation, dedication, passion to illustrate, create and design.
