James Atencio's artwork can be seen all over Las Vegas, not in galleries and museums, but on commercial buildings and city walls. Mixing his natural artistic abilities, Graphic Design training and Fine Arts education, James is best known for his large scale murals and street art. James grew up in San Jose, CA and attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco for Graphic Design and Art Institute of San Francisco for Fine Art. Both a street artist and painter, James is also an illustrator and set designer with previous experience working for Warner Bros, Paramount Studios and Disneyland. James lives and works in Las Vegas but spends a majority of his time travelling; painting murals across the United States.
