I recently helped a good friend of mine with his website. He had several spelling and grammar errors. He had asked four others to look over his writing and I was the first to find and point out the errors. Upon his request, not only did I correct those errors, but I helped to rewrite his "about me" page, allowing his ideas and facts to flow more smoothly. I can provide proof upon request.

I have been writing since I was 9 years old. I published a poetry book in 2010. Writing is my gift from God and I ignored it far too long. I now want to do the thing I like most and that which comes easiest for me. I like to read, do research and my creative fiction writing seems to follow a direction of mystery. I started writing a book entitled " Double ****** by Proxy" which was a story about a ****** committed by an unknown identical twin and blamed on the known twin. I have not completed that novel. I am a mother, wife, grandmother and a minister. I write my own sermons when I get the opportunity to minister. I enjoy watching mystery movies and figuring out the culprit. I have done research on my maternal grandparents and found information as far back as the 1800's. I consider myself our family historian. I am currently in the process of writing two books about my childhood; one part includes information about a large farm that my great-grandfather owned in Georgia, and the other part includes information about my life in the Florida panhandle.

I've been a professional editor since 2005, working mostly as the supervisor of two twice-weekly community newspapers and a magazine, and managing their Web-based content. Aside from my former day job as editor of two Alabama Press Association-member newspapers of record (which merged into one publication as of fall 2010) I copy-edit for Demand Media Studios (since summer 2010); and have edited photographs, laid out newspapers, brochures and newsletters; and strengthened a financial firm's Web content and client-relations documents. I am a detail-oriented, deadline-driven, hard-working editor who is always happy to learn about new projects and serve.

Over the past 6 years I have a taken a variety of studio classes to build a set of focused art skills. These classes have included Design Fundementals, Computer Graphic Design, and Illustration. Through my graphic design program I have been introduced to numerous programs and skills that have become indispensable to my workflow. I am comfortable in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Maya, and Mudbox. I also have produced work using Premiere, InDesign, Z-Brush, and HTML and CSS programming. Still, I find that self education has become my most effective means of growth and I continue to take on challenges outside of my regular classwork. Drawing is my primary focus and strongest ability. I love putting pencil to paper (or stylus to tablet) and bringing new life to my imagination. I have been doing so for as long as I can remember. My passion is animation (2D and 3D), and I enjoy studying motion and movement. I am mainly a character artist, and enjoy the challenge of making a new character to fit a situation. I am currently teaching myself 3D character creation and animation. The joy that comes from successfully going from an idea, to a drawing, to a moving 3D character is unrivaled. My goal is to work in the field of 3D animation in games, movies, or television. Currently I am accepting contracts for freelance illustration and graphic design.
