I am the creator and administrator of the Facebook group "Cartoonist's Café" We currently have nearly 10,000 artists from all over the world, including some of the best in the world. I have also written for a headline comedian, as well as various cartoonists and public speakers. In the past, I have teamed with a cartoonist and placed 1st runner-up in a national cartooning contest, where the 1st place winner received a syndication contract (we were so close to winning!!!). In recent years I have put my comedy writing on hold because of the demands from my primary job as well as my volunteering efforts for youth sports. But now I'm ready to get back into the comedy writing arena. My forte is writing stand-up material and also writing gags for comic strips. I am looking to team with a cartoonist on a comic strip idea. If you are looking for an honest, easy going and affordable comedy writer then please contact me at the e-mail address below. Thanks for checking out my profile and please tell others about me! ~Biz~ biztate@sbcglobal.net .. .

I have several books which have been published: all in the Christian market: three are in the Children's Ministry Guide to... series. My bestseller is the Children's Ministry Guide to Dealing with Disruptive Children. Alongside these are two books aimed at Youth leaders: 101 Dynamic Ideas for your Youth Ministry; and Dynamic Youth Leadership: Principles in Practice, plus two more story-book style rewrites of Bible books: Acts of God and Dan the Man. In addition, I have professionally penned five sell-out musical show scripts; four of these were based on parables of Jesus, taking the form of pantomimes; the series began with 'Step-Mamma Mia!', the story of the prodigal son told using characters from the fairy tale about Cinderella with 11 Abba songs. My recent work includes more than 160 Bible curriculum sessions, with teachers' notes, activity ideas, worksheets, accompanying magazines and articles. My blog http://thelostsonvariations.blogspot.com features a range of ways in which to tell the familiar story of the Parable of the Prodigal Son: using poetry, pastiche, dialect, keywords, alphabetical games, a collection of styles, alliteration, viewpoint and so forth. I have proofread manuscripts professionally, and provided editing services to a number of colleagues while working for a publishing house. I am currently self-employed, and willing to consider writing/editing/proofing jobs.
