I am Canadian, born in Toronto and raised in North York, Ontario. I spent 25 years working for the CBC where I became a cameraman. During that time I worked with many of the brightest and best in the Canadian industry on some of television's most popular shows, from Mr. Dressup to Robin Williams, music, drama, dance, sitcoms, politics and sports. At an Olympics I shot the main camera in the gold medal winning games of gymnastics, basketball, boxing and others. After 12 years the CBC educated me in journalism and for the next 13 years I covered many of the most important events across Canada and world wide, working with the highest level of journalism everywhere. It was a time when we at CBC television news were developing an approach and style that did not just look at the event that was happening, but that which surrounded it such as the local people, religion, etc.; common today, but we led that change. I also worked for CBS in the Middle East and South America. I was part of how the world was changing and it was an amazing time. Google "Dennis Packer CBC" and look around. After leaving the CBC I started producing, putting the right people in the right positions and bringing the projects in on budget. I directed single and multi-camera shoots and as a journalist produced documentaries, all to network quality standards. I also was DOP or cameraman on Canadian and American TV productions. I have strong people skills, so I'm easy to work with.My online resume is at: http://www.dennispacker.com. You can also find me in other places online such as google : Dennis Packer Argo. I have an extraordinary career in drama, music and journalism and I make documentaries and reports . I helped merge the educational department of I.A.T.S.E 667 with Sheridan College so I am aware of the latest technology including 3D and Virtual. I'm a story teller . I tell stories with videos.
