I'm a 24 year old female artist, who is something of a polymath in the multimedia department. I have been painting and sketching since I was 4 years old, with an emphasis on the female form and it's many coverings, which makes me well suited for both traditional illustration and fashion illustration. I am also an accomplished painter, with acrylics and water color well mastered. I also know how to combine media, and have made pen and paint, pencil and paint, and pastel and pen designs in the past. I have samples of manga styles art, realistic portrait art, realistic animals, gritty graphic novel art, and mixed theme art. I took a few classes of business at Bucks County Community college, so I also have some understanding of what sells, and how to catch a potential client's eye, as well as the importance of terrific, attention grabbing, package design. I also have dabbled in psychology, learning interesting tidbits that can be utilized in both the arts and marketing department, both color and shape related as tied with neurology.

I am an illustrator and a fine artist. I work mostly in oils and/or digital media. My website is tessaguze.com. As an artist, I am inspired by other living creatures and the many varying ways they live in and perceive the world. I choose to paint subjects to which I have a deep emotional response, whether that response is to feel happy or sad, frightened or comforted. I always sympathize with the underdog, the downtrodden, and the undervalued. I am driven to learn about different cultures and ways of life and my work reflects this. I intend my paintings to help viewers understand and accept people and creatures who seem different from themselves. I want my work to speak to people directly. To this end I strive to bring my subjects to life in such a way that they are immediately comprehensible and the viewer has an opportunity to find some common ground with them. I paint mostly in oil because of the rich complexity of the medium and the variety of techniques it makes possible. These allow me to represent a recognizable natural world, while increasing the interest and emotional impact of the painting with brush strokes, textures and glazes. My hope is that my work can communicate with as wide a range of people as possible, reaching across differences in culture, age, knowledge and personality. I believe the most important thing a work of art can do it communicate with people.
