Salut! My name is Matt Christianson. I hail from Nappanee, Indiana. You've probably heard of it. It's know for being the longest named town with two letters of every letter that's in it and for exploiting the Amish culture for tourism. So yeah, we're kind of a big deal. Let's just say I can smell a pig from a mile away. In college I studied psychology while simultaneously being the head writer for our comedy skit show FNL. Long story short I got kicked out my senior year right before I got to host it because my ego got too big and I wrote an email to the director and producer outlining all the ideas they came up with that totally flopped in the shows. Ever since this devastating instance I shunned writing and just decided to write in private and pursue other options, but i'm back and I hope that people genuinely enjoy what I write!

I am a theatrical lighting designer based in Chicago, and have a semi-full time job in the electrics department at the Goodman Theatre. While I stay busy on various shows, I find enormous amounts of time that I'd like to dedicate to taking on freelance work, ideally doing some kind of Vectorworks cad drafting or writing/editing on a project based schedule. While not formally trained, I've been writing as a hobby for 15+ years, with short plays, personal essays, and on-line review sites, plus I'm currently working on a non-fiction book about lifetime-long careers of friends and family members. I've made contributions to several Chicago organizations, including The Strawdog Theatre Company, The Moth, The Paper Machete and Reviews You can use. I design things from adverts to t-shirts, and stencils. Time = to complexicity. I can do more than digital mediums but I cant provide my own tools, so if you have the gear and are Perth based i have the talent. My photo manipulation skills are also quite good, but again the more detail and perfection there is needed the more time is required.
