I've been hooked on writing since my kindergarten teacher stood me up on a chair to share my first book, titled Mud, with my classmates. Since then I have become an experienced elementary teacher and have enjoyed writing for children, teachers, and other adults. My written work includes co-authorship of the kindergarten Bible Program Teacher and Student Editions 2011 Association of Christian School International, study guides for the Burlington, VT Flynn Theatre's Student Matinee Program, and several skits which have been performed publicly, as well as a plethora of writing for coursework, including my thesis for an M.Ed.. I am eager to add to this resume.

Largely self-taught, Ma Ly has been a professional classical realist artist since 2007 and currently lives in Fresno, California. He is a member of the Clovis Art Guild, the Fresno Arts Council, and the Fresno Arts Network. Born in Laos, of Hmong origin, he relocated right after the Vietnam War in France where he lived over 32 years before settling in Clovis in 2008. He founded and currently manages Colligo Studio, a thriving art studio and gallery in downtown Fresno, California. Ma Ly received awards from both the Fresno Fair Fine Arts Contest and the Clovis Art Guild and was a judge for art programs involving the Fresno Unified School District and the Fresno Art Museum. His paintings are in private collections in France and in the United States. They also were displayed in several art shows and venues in Fresno and Clovis, including Fresno City Hall, Fresno Art Museum, Arte Americas, Coke Hallowell Center for River Studies, and Clovis Veterans Memorial District. In January 2011, he completed a life size posthumous portrait of General Vang Pao for his memorial service. A limited edition giclée print of this painting now hangs in the Vang family’s house in Westminster, California. Also, Martin Luther King Jr., III owns in Atlanta, Georgia a print of Ma Ly's award-winning oil painting “The Bus of Shame”. The original piece has been loaned to the African American Historical & Cultural Museum of the San Joaquin Valley of Fresno for the year 2011. Both paintings were broadcasted on the local news. Between art shows, he welcomes any type of commissions and gives art lessons at his studio, at Michaels store in Clovis, and at Fresno Adult School."

I've playing guitar and writting songs since I was 13 years of age. I used to work for Benton and Bowles ad agency and a talent agency. I have an advertising background and some of my songs were considered for jingles and madonna in the 90's. I wrote jingles for amf ski equipment and zest deoderant. I have a cd of my own kids songs that I've written and perform at children's partys as a clown. I use when I perform at kid's birthday partys as a clown.
