Marques the Writer is a Journalist, Music Publicist, and Author with ten years professional writing experience. The savvy writer first developed a passion for writing professionally, entering his senior year of high school. Eager to gain experience, he became a reporter for his schools newspaper, Bruins 411. In 2002, the Writer self-published his first book, The Man Who Dared to Dream, which is a fictional book aimed towards teenagers, urging them to never give up-even when failure seems inevitable. A few years later, the Writer decided to expand his writing business and took on freelance writing for: entertainers, small businesses, and publications. His shot at this new venture came by seizing the opportunity to write for Underwire Interactive Magazine. His position as an interviewer/writer allowed him to gain tremendous experience; along with many mainstream and independent hip-hop contacts. He conducted interviews for: Mr. Colipark, Chopper Young City, DJ Drama, and T-Pain to name a few. Even though he played a significant role in helping the new publication get off the ground, he wanted more. Marques the Writer decided to leave the magazine to focus solely on freelance writing and quickly gained steady clientele based on his reputation for producing high-quality content with quick turnaround times. He developed a reputation in the industry for being the go-to guy for entertainers who needed press kits, bios, and/or press releases. In 2005, he accepted a new position as copy editor with Florida-based Entertainment Company, Mighty Dolla Entertainment. This position taught him many of the core skills that he utilizes today, as a successful publicist. Throughout the years, Marques the writer has worked with many talented Artists, DJ’s, and Producers and is in high-demand for his biography writing, electronic press kits, and effective PR campaigns. He’s worked with clients such as: C. Wakeley, Yung Wax, P.B.R, Young Tyme, Kitch Kitchen, Sparkdawg, and more. Marques the Writer currently writes for Street Monstaz Magazine and recently released two music business books, The Musicians Manual to Effective Media Coverage, and The Indie Guide: 2013 Edition. He also have three other books that are awaiting release dates.

I am a designer, writer and editor. I understand how to pair visuals and information, for readers and non-readers alike, while guiding the eye to the important factors of any design. I can write and edit in nearly every format and style book, and I absolutely love what I do. I have past experience designing book covers, promotional posters and banners, social media images, logos, brochures, infographics, calendars, e-newsletters, and more. I can copy edit in five stylebooks at an experienced level: APA, AP, MLA, Chicago, and AMA. Thanks to this, I can edit in any style you would like (standard for books is Chicago, and I use this by default). I have over five years experience with copy editing, including a year and a half experience as a copy chief and a year at a publishing company. Editing will run at a different rate from the hourly, however. Rather than charge you per-hour, which could become very expensive depending on the amount of editing requires, I charge per word, page, or manuscript -- whichever is more cost efficient for you. Please contact me to price your next manuscript. I have written three (so far) unpublished novels, and numerous short stories and plays, in the course of my graduate degree in professional writing, and would also be happy to ghost write for you. Ghost writing may incur additional research costs. I also freelance as an article/blog writer and have written news, reviews, interviews, and medical articles as well as press releases, copy, and commercial scripts. I understand that, typically, article writing is priced per-word, so please contact me to offer a per-word or per-article bid. Otherwise, you will be billed per-hour. I have studied writing in numerous styles, so I won't list them here, lest I forget one. The only formats I have yet to encounter professionally are technical writing and grant proposals, but with the experience I have in every other style (and my moderate science background -- computer science and physics), I believe I could handle one easily. If you consider me for one of these tasks, please contact me. Since it would be my first, I'd be happy to give you a discount. Additionally, I have experience with event coordination for book and album signings, both copy and design experience with advertising, and freelance as a "front" of the back-end organizer and editor. And, honestly, if you need a communications skill not on this short list, I can probably help you there as well. So, save time and hire one person to do your next re-branding or editing, cover, and promotions for your next book. I will always be honest, hard-working, and eager to learn and create the absolute best product for you. Thank you for considering me for your freelance communication needs.

I am a "jill-of-most-trades" ( musician, singer, creative writer, article and college essay writer, and a Traditional (drawn by hand) creative artist. And I am offering my creative skills and talents to offer you the very best efforts no matter the job. A 'pencil to paper' concept artist, my personal style leans towards looking like finished characters and animals one would find in a comics style of illustration. My artistic works can be viewed at http://www.artwanted.com/SharonLeAnne . And although I create a variety of subjects within my art works, my strongest subjects include animals, (horses and other equine animals), and also my fantastical dragons (and mythological creatures). I have also created tattoo designs as well as having had done some original concept artwork for a gentleman in U.K. for a table top role playing game he and a group of his friends were creating; as a partial perk to the payments I was offered, My name as an artist will appear in the credits of the final published game module.
