The Seiden Group, NY, NY, July 2010-August 2011 As sole copywriter on all accounts, including two successful multimillion-dollar-account pitches, I was always busy. Chiefly, I maintained distinct branding and voices for five brands under the Visiting Nurse Service of New York umbrella. For each VNSNY Brand, I crafted successful campaigns that included online, out of home, radio, brochures and direct mail. I helped introduce Crystalens premium cataract replacement lenses with an integrated campaign credited with moving more than 15,000 units in one year, smashing expectations. After a year in development, we launched ShireBraveAwards.com for Shire pharmaceuticals, honoring unsung non-professional caregivers and branding Shire as a compassionate corporation. TBWA\CHIAT\DAY, NY, NY, January-September 2008, Dec. ’08-Jan. ’09, May ’09-Jan. ’10 As a freelance ACD managing 3 creative teams, I developed the Brand voice and guidelines for Vonage, as well as advertising across all channels. I helped win several pitches, including Michelin, Cablevision and Majestic Steel, and created integrated campaigns for Tassimo (home brewing system), American Management Association (training specialists) and HomeAway.com (luxury rentals). I also served as the go-to CRM microsite and newsletter maven for Sprint. Digitas, Inc., NY, NY, February 2005-February 2007 As an Associate, then full Copywriter, I worked on the following American Express Brands: 2006 TriBeCa Film Festival, americanexpress.com/travel, Consumer Cards, OPEN and the launch of the One Card. In 2012, they elected me President. Under my watch, we’ve grown our Facebook and Twitter fan base by more than 1,000, hosted various celebrities to blow game-starting whistles and established relationships with media outlets from Patch.com to ESPN. where & what I learned The Creative Circus, Atlanta, GA Graduated March 2004. Won gold and silver student awards and had a crash course in art direction. Many bars were tended, thousands of tables waited and hundreds of outfits sold. I also traveled quite a bit, amassing hundreds of stories, and honed my culinary skills through trial, error and listening at the feet of pros. where you can find me in my spare time When not giving tours of my ever-growing shoe collection, I’m a religious roller derby skater and fan, avid reader and TV-watcher and conqueror of crossword puzzles. I bake and cook as much as my schedule allows, and am a regular human guinea pig for new restaurants and diversions.

Objective: A freelance editing or proofreading position. Summary of Qualifications: A Master of Arts In English Literature with an emphasis on Romanticism. Experience editing novels. Experience freelance editing. A Bachelor of University Studies in Literature, Latin, and Theater. Master of Arts: Four consecutive semesters of Graduate Studies including: one course English Literature introduction to the professional study of English. One course on literary Romanticism theory. Five elective courses surveying literature including: British Coursework: Romanticism, Freaky Nineteenth-Century American Narratives, Uppity Medieval Women, Renaissance Embodiments, and Contemporary Irish Literature. Two seminar courses: The Gothic Sensation and Malory's Le Morte Darthur. All of the above courses except Contemporary Irish Literature included workshops in which students reviewed and edited one another's papers to strengthen structural and conceptual flow. One course preparing a portfolio of my best work---the equivalence of a Master's Thesis. One independent pedagogy study in which I team-taught a 300-level undergraduate course on the novels of Jane Austen with a professor. In this course, I was responsible for grading and commenting on the papers and assignments of half of the students in the class. I also corrected grammar and spelling errors in student papers. My professor and I switched students mid-semester so that we would both be familiar with the work of all the students in the class. I created half of the Reflection and Formal Paper topics assigned for the course. Novel Editing: I reviewed and edited the manuscripts of Run Before the Wind (2009) and Elvenhome (2011), books 2 and 3 of the Faeltheon series, at author Michele Yardumian's request. In addition to reader response information, I commented on conceptual flow, plot consistency, character development, development of theology, and stylistic strengths and weaknesses. I am currently editing Atlantys, Book 4 of the Faeltheon series. I am also editing the manuscript of The Iron Rose at author Gloria Rehberg's request focusing on grammar, punctuation, structure, and historical and cultural accuracy. Freelance Editing: I edited college assignments and business and personal letters for errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation in addition to altering sentence structure for greater clarity and concision. I formatted and typed business letters, business proposals, business meeting minutes, and flyers advertising musical events. Bachelor of University Studies: Eight consecutive semesters of English Language and Literature courses including two semesters of basic level writing courses and topic studies on J. R. R. Tolkien, Old English, Jane Austen, two Semesters of Shakespeare, The Bible as Literature, and Milton. Six consecutive semesters of Latin courses including two semesters devoted to grammar; one semester devoted to prose composition; and topic studies on Catullus' poetry, Book IV of The Aeneid, Vergil's Eclogues, and Seneca's letters. One semester of Biblical Hebrew focusing primarily on grammar. During my final semester of undergraduate study, I combined my knowledge of theater, music, and literature to complete an independent study in which I transposed J.R.R.
