Looking for freelance jobs to complete landscape and portrait oil pastel paintings. My commission is based on the size of the job not the hourly rate. I currently work PT as a court clerk, but my career is geared towards Fine Arts. I have an Associates Degree for Business/Graphic Design and I'm a few credits shy of a Bachelors Degree in Media Arts and Animation. I work from home creating small Graphic Designs ie business cards, logos, brochure, etc for people, but my main focus is creating landscape, portraits, space and animal paintings for people. Born in Orlando, Florida when there were still orange groves in the city and Disney World wasn't yet a gleam in developer's eyes, Rob Smith, Jr. learned to cartoon at a young age. Rob credits his fourth grade art teacher for motivating him to learning the cartooning craft. He started in the professional cartooning biz at the tender age of 16 drawing caricatures and creating advertising illustration. Rob paid his dues doing retail caricatures before taking on caricature as entertainment at corporate events and creating hundreds of illustrations for the advertising market. Rob studied art at the Ringling School of Art and Design and the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon Art. He also studied political science, philosophy, and religion at and at his mother's alma mater, Rollins College and Valencia Community College. In 1992, editorial cartooning became a passion for Rob and he began to produce cartoons regularly for the Winter Park Observer and the Lakeland Ledger. He has received six Florida Press Association Awards for his work. Rob worked for the City of Orlando for 20 years as an artist and cartographer, drafting and archiving maps, and got to know his hometown like the back of his hand. On the side, he performed at corporate events and continued to cartoon, in syndication as an editorial cartoonist for 6 years with the now-defunct DBR Media and has drawn editorial cartoons since 2001 with the Glenn Beck Program. Rob "retired" from the city in 2006 to become an official full-time cartoonist. It's now been more than 32 years as a professional cartoonist and Rob continues with creating editorial cartoons, book illustrations, advertising art, caricatures and practically all fields of cartooning and illustration.

I am an illustrator who specializes in conceptual art and preproduction design of figures and landscapes. I am capable of traditional style and digital art of every genre. The past six years have included commissions of character designs, logos, posters, banners, flyers, murals, and tattoos. I handled advertisements and data entry while interning at the Revolving Museum in downtown Lowell. Predominantly experienced with Photoshop and Illustrator, competent in InDesign. My true ambitions are to write and illustrate my own manga series from a variety of genres from fantasy to modern day. I graduated from UMass Lowell in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts with a sub-plan of Graphic Design. The past several years I've been working in various retail positions and it's about time to start working on what I love. While in college, I was the Features and Living Arts Editor for the school's paper, the Connector, for a year and a half. The last semester was spent as the paper's Art Director, responsible for graphics and overseeing the photo editor. Resume available upon request.

I am a twenty one year old college student on break between moving to my four year college. I have practiced in hands on art all my life. I prefer working on drawing and sculpting projects , but I do give most forms of arts and crafts a chance. The payment on my projects typically depends on the difficulty versus an hourly wage though I am willing to negotiate.
