I'm a writer in my 20s looking to establish myself as a comic book writer. I am a published science writer (www.underthemicroscope.com) and video game journalist (www.novacrystallis.com), and I currently work full-time in data entry. I recently completed a comic book writing course taught by former editors at Marvel and IDW. We, the students of that class, are putting together an anthology of our work; I'm currently working with an artist who is illustrating my short comic, which has been completed. The anthology should be out by mid-2014. You can view my portfolio on my LinkedIn profile: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/john-douglas-sotomayor/43/41b/103 I am interested in: science fiction, modern/urban/contemporary fantasy, blending genres, and writing accessible, funny dialogue against supernatural backdrops. Influences include Joss Whedon, Madeleine L'Engle, and Christos Gage.
