I'm an international tattoo designer, freelance illustrator, body artist and i just completed my Masters Degree in illustration. I'm based in South Wales and have a fascination for life and nature. I've grown up loving the outdoors, being around animals, reading fairy tales and watching fantasy movies so I suppose my fascination started there and expanded as I got older. Ever since I was younger I have had a passion for artwork and drawing but it wasn't until I got older that I become fascinated with tattoos. It was then that I decided that was what I wanted to do with my life. I enrolled in university to enable me to push my artwork to create the best kind of artwork that I could so that I could be the best kind of tattoo artist, Illustrator and designer that I could be. All of my artwork is done traditionally mainly using pencils and creating detail in fine liner pens. I prefer working in black and white with splashes of color but I also love working with Prisma colored pencils as I love how the color seems to really stand out. My inspiration tends to comes from the things I love in life and nature. My main inspiration other than my close family is my reptiles. I adore them! Which is why the name of my art business had to include something to do with them. I love experimenting with combining things that wouldn't normally go together in order to create an image that is different and has a new and more personalized meaning. I use this quite a bit in my work and when designing customized tattoos for my clients. Over the last two years I have worked in 3D. Both building on artwork to make it 3D and also putting artwork onto 3D objects. I would love to be able to create artwork that could be used to help the conservation of animals, both endangered and not.

As well as proofreading work at proof stages I have extensive experience revising and passing work at the press. My previous company withdrew from printing, giving me the opportunity to utilise and develop these skills in other sectors. In May 2010 I launched a freelance proofreading service (www.pauldalling.co.uk). Career History BemroseBooth Limited, Derby Planner/Proofreader: 1996 - March 2010. DTP Keyboard Operator: 1980 - 1996. Over the years I developed touch-typing and computer skills including desk-top publishing adverts for calendars and government report typesetting. Most recently copy preparation, planning jobs through printing to finishing operations including: - • Planning jobs accurately to tight deadlines ready for print, using IT skills to revise print position and liaising with Management and staff on the most economical and efficient equipment to be used • Design input for best layout and position of printed materials for final print to meet customer and business requirements • Proofreading, final revision and signing off on high security and large volume print work. Paul Dalling Independent Proofreader Commenced working as a freelance proofreader in May 2010 in order to make use of the extensive knowledge and experience gained during my time in the printing and publishing industry. I have worked with a number of graphic design and web design agencies both in my local area and London. I have also worked with small publishing companies on a number of interesting projects. Lockwoods Promotional Products Ltd was founded by a number of senior directors and staff from Bemrose Promotional Products when they ceased trading. They have moved into the bespoke and advertising calendar market retaining many of Bemrose Promotional Products former clients. They asked me to provide freelance proofreading services for their initial calendar season. I have since become one of only two proofreaders retained by them to read their 2012 stock range prior to printing. As well as being a preferred proofreader for Lockwoods Promotional Products, I also produce copy for their stock calendars. This involves working from picture references supplied, researching and writing copy relevant to the image or theme of the calendar. Depending on the client’s preference I will either read and mark up paper manuscripts using standard proofreaders marks, or work on files transmitted electronically. I can mark up supplied Word files using Track Changes or pdf. files using Adobe Acrobat. My website www.pauldalling.co.uk, designed by wheatcroft&co and written by Asbury&Asbury, was submitted to the 2011 D&AD Design Awards and was selected to feature in their prestigious yearbook which will be published later this year.

In the crimson waves of turmoil lives a long forgotten hope. Two words bring salvation to my tattered mind, "I understand." Yes, your God is alive and well. He wishes to take your hand. If you search for Him today, He promised that you would find, renewed in Him your hope today, of aesthetic marvel far beyond your wildest dreams. Bring your life to Him and see, perhaps His daily presence can set you free.

Farid F. Alkhafaji 107 East Crest Way, Madison, AL 35758 Email: ffa0001@alumni.uah.e PERSONAL PROFILE Presently, I am working for i3 Corporation, Huntsville Alabama as an English-Arabic and Arabic- English translator, Interpreter, and cultural advisor. I translate English technical manuals (Fixed and rotary wing aircrafts maintenance manuals) into Iraqi Arabic. I am the senior interpreter in all Middle East contract negotiations and business conferences i3 sponsors with Iraqi and Arab (Saudi, Libyan) senior officials. I teach Iraqi Arabic to my i3 colleagues to enhance their job performance and interaction with our customers. In addition, I provide extensive consultation to the senior management on the intricacies of the political factions, tribal, and cultural influences on conducting business in the Middle East and particularly in Iraq. I am an American citizen with two Master’s Degrees in English from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and from Washington International University. I have more than six years of experience in teaching Iraqi Arabic dialect and Iraqi traditions and customs to U.S. military and civilians deployed in Iraq. During the operation Iraq Freedom, under contract with L3 Corporation I was assigned to work with U.S. and coalition forces in Iraq. From 2005-2007, I worked for U.S. and NATO senior officers as an interpreter, translator, and cultural advisor. As part of my service to U.S. military forces I was primarily assigned duties as linguist/interpreter for meetings and negotiations with senior Iraqi and U.S. government officials and as an instructor. Under the supervision of the U.S. military officers, I was the lead linguist/integrator for the development, training and operation of the first Iraqi National Command Center. I taught Iraqi army officer’s computer skills and English Language at the Iraqi Ministry of Defense. At the end of 2007 as an appreciation to my services and strongly endorsed by my U.S. military senior officer supervisors, the U.S. Government issued my family an immigrant visa under the DOD linguist/interpreter visa program. A few months after my arrival to the U.S. from 2008-2012, I was hired by QinetiQ Corp, North America as a translator, interpreter, and cultural advisor to handle the technical translation, cultural needs, and instruction to our employees deployed in Iraq. In July 2012, I was hired by i3 Corp to the same responsibilities I performed for QinetiQ Corporation of North America. In 1994, I graduated from the college of languages in Baghdad and received my B.A. in English language. After graduation, I began my compulsory military service in the Iraqi Army for 18 months. Being specialized in English language, I was selected to teach English for cadets in the Iraqi Military College. After I was discharged from the army, I worked independently as English and Arabic language tutor until 1999. In 1999, I moved to Jordan and worked as an English language teacher in Al-Arabi Language Institute and also worked in the field of translation for one year. In 2000, I contracted with the Libyan Ministry of Education as an English Language teacher. I worked there until 2005. I am prepared to relocate and travel in pursuit of the challenging duties. Teaching is my passion and I especially enjoy working with and mentoring young professionals and members of the military. My work since my arrival in the U.S. and my extended family in Iraq have allowed me to stay current on issues and developments in the Middle East. I firmly believe that learning the Arabic language is only the beginning for a student. The knowledge of the cultural and tribal influences is essential to being an effective Arabic linguist.
