Scott Allman has been a Director of Photography/Producer/Editor for over 25 years. He started his career at independent production companies in the Mid-Michigan area and then moved to the CBS affiliate in Lansing as a videographer in 1987. In 1993 he was chief videographer at WLNS, he left WLNS to join the staff at ANR Communications/Michigan State University in the summer of 1993. Scott has an extensive background in news, commercial and documentary production. He has shot and produced video across the United States and overseas, working for a variety of national and regional clients. In 1999 he founded Scott Allman Productions . In 2005 a documentary Scott shot in Haiti and subsequently edited won a National Aurora award. He has spent part of the summer of 2008 and 2009 in Europe shooting video for Harley Davidson. In June of 2010 a documentary he produced, edited, shot while working at ANR Communications/Michigan State University, that aired on PBS, won an Emmy in the Environmental category. In the last three years Scott Allman Productions has won twelve Telly awards, three AVA awards. Also between 2004 and 2008 Scott formed a partnership with Chef Eric Villages and produced the PBS cooking and travel show called "Fork in the Road", “Fork” won two Emmys and two Tellys during it’s run.
