In December 2011, my family and I moved to Canada from Australia for a 24 month secondment with my husband’s work, previous to this I worked as an HR professional with a side passion for writing and opinionated descriptive prose. Since being in Canada, and writing a daily journal on what life is like here, what it is like as a new mum (I have an 8 month old) and sending home ‘travel’ journals to family and friends, I have discovered that my passion for expressing emotion, sight and opinions on paper has increased to the point where I want to pursue a writing career.
