I began drawing and painting at an early age, then attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco on a scholarship, majored in Illustration and studied under such luminaries as: Howard Brodie, Barbara Bradley, Al Parker and Bill Sanchez. I began freelancing for ad agencies and design firms in the North Bay. Not content with specialization, I regard myself as a "visual problem solver." Utilizing a wide variety of techniques and applications, both digital and traditional. I have a dynamic range of style that covers the representational and photo-realistic to whimsical and humorous cartoons, which can change according to the situation and singular client needs. My art has been widely used for wine labels, although it applies naturally to food and beverage, children's books and editorial not to mention other areas of advertising and design such as product and packaging. RECENT CLIENTS • Bronco Wine Company • Forest Glen Vineyards • Bounty Hunter Rare Wines and Provisions • Sotoyome Resource Conservation District • Tandor Press • Rutherford Wine Company • Steltzner Vineyards • J.W. Hello. My name is Lynda Apple - really. Born on the East Coast and raised primarily in New Jersey half way down the coast, I currently reside in Flagstaff, Arizona USA but I am always open to new adventures and locations. I've led a varied and exciting life. When people ask me "what do you do?" My usual answer is, "Anything". I am a passionate person and I bring that passion to everything I do. My work days consist of working as an EMT in a Level 1 Trauma Center while concurrently putting myself through school... again...to pursue broader horizons within the medical field. If I were younger and knew what I know now about myself, I'd probably be trying to get into Med School to be a doctor. But for now I am concentrating on pre-med and looking at RN, NP, or PA school. I don't fit easily in any particular box - I've done everything from restaurant management to science field work. I've been paid to write, to teach, to guide, to organize, to manage, to design, to entertain, to research, to build, and to respond to medical emergencies. I love to write and although I've always been called upon by friends and colleagues as their "go to" gal for editing, composing, and proofreading everything from resumes and cover letters to websites and personal correspondence, I'd never really pursued it as a profession until now. Working in the medical field, I work full time in only 3 days a week of work. That allows me a lot of valuable time to pursue other passions. Writing has always been a primary one. As a matter of fact, even though my bachelor's is in Chemistry, my minor was in creative writing and children's literature. Of course, that was a long time ago. I thrive on change, innovation, and serving people. I am professional, punctual, and value time - yours and mine. I am open to almost any kind of content writing based on my life experience, but think I could be of particular value in the medical, construction, outdoor, and service industries. I am interested in copy writing, content writing, newsletters, and I love to edit and proofread just about anything.

A description of myself, an arbitrary request at its core. The details of the "me" at hand are frivolous and unimportant. I am a writer who writes for the sensation of being able to do so. Out of every pleasure a human can take in life, writing is the pinnacle for me. The medium may differ, the words will change, I simply love to write. Give me a chance to write for you and I personally guarantee you will not regret it.

I've been writing since I was a kid in elementary school - at least back to fifth grade, when I wrote a fairy tale that earned the praise of my teachers. I like to think I've come a ways since then. Most of my experience is in print journalism. I was an enthusiastic print reporter, as well as a longtime copy editor and manager. I now spend a lot of time on public relations for local non profits, for which I also volunteer. I'm a member of Lions International and a history buff. Like most writers, I love to read, both classics and what I call "junk food" books - they fill a quick need, but make me feel guilty for indulging. Traveling is my second love and if I won the lottery I'd take a trip around the world and take my friends with me.
