I have always loved the arts, especially writing (poetry, short stories and children's books), drawing with charcoal, oil painting (flowers and landscapes) as well as my newest interest, landscape photography! The two pictures outlined on my profile were taken several years ago on a hot humid summer day and are of local landscapes right in my parent's backyard. I will be adding more photographs to my site shortly! Most recently I have taken on the challenge of writing a children's book series (4 rhyming books) geared towards 6-9 year olds. I hope to complete this writing project shortly and will make it available through Amazon for the Kindle. I was also extremely fortunate to have found a talented illustrator, Kezzia Crossley who has already committed to completing the illustrations for the entire 4 book series! I hope to continue writing books for children and may have the opportunity to work with some of the fabulous artists on this site! Thank you for the opportunity and I hope to work with you!

My name is Amber Adcock. I am a first year student at Snead State Community College where I am studying journalism. Writing is my passion. My senior year in high school I was on the newspaper staff, and I loved it. I am now taking a mass communications class at Snead where I manage our school's blog. In November of 2009 I was diagnosed with a very rare, but serious, disease called Angio Dema. Angio Dema causes random, extreme, swelling of numerous body areas. My struggle with Angio Dema was like living a nightmare! I am the perfect person to write a blog about my illness. I want Angio Dema to be a well known disease so there will be better medical treatment. I feel alone with my illness because it is so rare, and I want others with this disease to know they are not alone.
