Retired Graphic Artist. Did mostly presentation work from 1989 to 2002. Slipped in as much cartooning as I could into every project that looked like it would fit. Taught, mostly Illustrator, off an on from 1991 on at Community College level, both private and public, until 2012. Helped Dan Vado get SLG publishing going, doing production work, working with color separators, producing interior text pages, designing ads for the line of comics. Really here to see other's work, maybe hire some work done, do a little long deadline work myself.

I'm an MFA graduate from University of the North Carolina School of the Arts' Graduate Program in Costume Design and a BFA graduate from Tarleton State University. The artistic world took hold of my interest from the very first crayon and I've continually looked for new techniques, skills and styles to challenge myself. I hope to inspire through my work, and believe the little details are what makes a piece not only unique, but memorable.

Hi, My name is Helen Chan & I have just signed up for Freelanced.com & hopefully I will be able to provide my proofreading skills to help those in need. I was a Proofreading & Word Processing Specialist for a nonprofit economic think tank for over 20 years. Among the many types of company documents I had proofread included annual reports, quarterly updates, fundraising proposals, cover letters for invitations and mailings, event programs materials, reports and transcripts, and blueprints/proofs of print projects; and occasionally assisted in proofreading projects for the company's quarterly magazine. I believe my fresh eye will give an honest & down-to-earth look at your printed material(s) and provide accurate & detailed edits to your work.especially where major discrepancies appear.

Mariette Coetzee Since an early age, Mariette has realized that her talents lie deep in the heart of music. Having experienced various genre of music with particular influence from Fado and French music and from the “African Drum”, she has developed her own unique “From the Heart and Soul” style which has proved popular with everyone, young and not so young. Born in Bindura, a village in Zimbabwe, and raised in South Africa, Mariette is now a recorded artist, singer, and song writer at I.U. Studios. At the tender age of 18, she came second in a National Singing competition but her father, a preacher, decided she should focus on her studies and put her fledgling music career on hold. Her first manager, in 1989, was the well-known impresario, Ceasar de Almaida of S.A.B.C. fame, but she, tragically, lost her voice for some ten years but never gave up her love for music. With a little help from her eldest son, U-One, a singer/songwriter in his own right, Mariette has completed her, already highly-acclaimed, solo Album “GYPSY SOUL” which will be released very soon. Some of her songs are already being aired on radio stations, both overseas, and on West Coast Radio, and Radio Houtstok, and the West Coast of Cape Town has nicknamed her “Roxette of the West Coast” – such is her passion for her work. Her song, “If you only knew”, was posted on the Internet with overwhelming response and has, even, been labelled by overseas listeners as the “Next James Bond Theme Song”. Her second Album is also in the making with the working Title “Rock Album about Life” and is an exciting, in-depth view on how music can “speak” to the soul. Mariette has performed with many Artists, including Neverside Band, Danie Nieuhaus, What’s-Up, Bandana, to name but a few and she will now be focussing this year on performing “live” at many more events and singing songs from her first Album as well as providing a “taster” for some of her work still to come.
