I’m Steve Combs, I earned a paralegal degree and a general education degree from Ivy Tech Community College in 2007. I learned how to research while attending Ivy Tech and wrote several research papers and include the sources according to how the paper was to be writen. I learned how to format according to instruction, and follow directions for including quotations. To further my legal education I purchased the same criminal law books used at Indiana University that are used to teach students in law school there, and read them. In an effort to apply the broad federal law theory I learned to specific laws I read the entire Indiana State Criminal Code and familiarized myself with Indiana Law. I have written a couple of unpublished novels. One is a fantasy, crime novel and the other is a science fiction, fantasy novel. I started writing screenplays about a year ago and have completed two of them. I have read three books on how to write screenplays and applied the formatting techniques from the book, “ The Screenwriter’s Bible”. Return of the Good King is a science fiction screenplay with an alternate medieval world, the protagonists are a Lawyer from Indiana, and three mutated test subjects that were raised in a lab in Indiana. They Are One is a science fiction screenplay that takes place mostly in the Hawaiian Islands. An ancient parasite is released from a coral reef and the hosts of the parasite are linked to one another in a psychological manner, they are able to manipulate sea life and humans alike. In the screenplay a divorced couple finds the love they lost during an action packed adventure and they reunite their torn family. I have also done a great deal of factory work that requires learning processes and following them. I can describe in detail how to do tasks one step at time and increase your work productivity.

For five years I have experienced a wide variety of graphic design such as updating and designing pages for Claire's U.S. and their global web sites. I've designed logos, business cards, and brochures for various businesses such as Hawkeye Care Centers and their branches across Iowa. As an employee of Monahan Photographic Artist I retouched and manipulated portraits, designed greeting cards, wedding albums, invitations and the like. I've also been honored as Student of the Year at the Des Moines Area Community College Graphic Design Program and had my illustration featured on the cover of Harvest Magazine. I am confident that my experience will help me contribute to the work in your company. I graduated from Des Moines Area Community College in May of 2007 with an Associates Degree. During my time at DMACC I studied design, production, typography, illustration, and computer graphics. I was able to maintain a high GPA by studying hard, coming to class, and working with others. My skills include: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Lightroom, illustration and QuarkXpress.

Introduction My name is Dr. Patrice J. Carter and I am an Author/Writer/Freelance Editor living in Fayetteville, N.C. My first literary work, SUPERb Woman: From Bad Girl to God’s Girl, published by Cranberry Quill Publishing (Fayetteville), will be released October 14, 2011. SUPERb Woman: From Bad Girl to God’s Girl will focus on worthiness and self-esteem; and a deconstructed view of the Proverbs 31 woman for women who are single or married. This book falls under the genre of Christian Self-Help (Nonfiction). This book is relevant and needed by women within, around and outside of Cumberland County because, women, in particular lack proper mentors and guidance in terms of how to live, work, own businesses, and manage their households. This book is based on the example of the Proverbs 31, which provides sound, biblical guidance and instruction on how women can be successful and balanced in every aspect of their lives. The point of SUPERb woman is that every woman can become this woman of excellence that the Bible speaks of; and, God has given me the ability to pen this in such a way that every woman, regardless of where she finds herself, spiritually, mentally or emotionally, can pick up this book and begin this journey. The end state of this journey is a right and restored relationship with Christ and a more balanced life. About the Author Dr. Patrice J. Carter is President of PJS Consulting Concepts, Inc., a Minister, Author, and Motivational Speaker. Dr. Patrice J. Carter is an advocate of education and academic endeavors and she holds several academic designations to include; a Doctorate of Philosophy, School of Business and Technology, from Capella University, an MBA from Webster University; and a Master of Science in Administration, with a concentration in Healthcare Administration, from Central Michigan University. Her writing experience spans 24+ years in the areas poetry, children’s books and now non-fiction. She began writing at an early age and has to date been published in her own website, www.speaktotheworld.org, Divine Inspirations Magazine (online) as well as co-host of a Women's Empowerment Radio Show. She has also planned, developed, executed and spoken at several ministry related Women's Conferences. Dr. Carter ministers, motivates and encourages young women using the Word of God outlined in Isaiah 61; exhorting them to be free of heartache, self-imprisonment and personal sin. Through the use of the Word of God and practical tips, she teaches them how to apply the Word of God to their daily lives to live in fullness and victory. Her website, www.speaktotheworld.org is a vehicle by which God can speak to His children to inspire them to change, "one Word at a time". Additionally, she has developed Live Out LoudTM seminars to empower men and women to live openly through self-expression and honesty. Artistic Resume Patrice J. I work for a private college where I am the compliance officer and also teach the life skills class to our tech-students. I also just started Blogging itonijd.com I'm privileged and blessed to have a lot of diverse friends from all walks of life and an insanely passionate, nosey, creative, talented, emotional, honestly raw, family; all of which contribute to my live and let live philosophical take on life.
