Music has saved my life more than once; who I am today is strongly influenced by my love for music. I am a musician-vocalist and keyboardist, and currently I teach piano and voice at the local music store. I lived in Austin,TX for 20 years, and was very involved in the local music scene. I also played keyboards in a Grateful Dead cover band for two years. I love live music and have been to hundreds of concerts and shows. I have a wide and extensive knowledge of music, and have a music memory that astounds people. I also stay up to date on what's trending. In terms of writing, I had my own entertainment column for the local newspaper for three years. On production day, I was the proofreader and wrote captions for all the photographs for the paper with the other two reporters. So many hilarious captions didn't make it into the paper because they were politically incorrect, a bit lewd, and we'd lose advertisers. I am told again and again that I'm unique. I think that I'm just the anomaly to the given. I say things that result in a almost physical response. People will startle, and give me a look like "Did she really just say that out loud?" I sure did. I am quick on my toes, and always have a comeback usually before the other person has finished their sentence. I would love the opportunity to be offered this position.
