I recently wrote a tri-weekly, humor-based column for Velocity Weekly, located in Louisville, Kentucky (recent layoffs by the paper's parent company essentially shut down the weekly paper). All content/themes/ideas are self-generated as I need little direction in the creative and/or the humor genre. I have also written several smaller creative fiction pieces and am currently working on my first novel (then again, aren't we all). In both 2010 and 2011, the Louisville Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists awarded me 2nd place in the Best Column Writing category. I currently do freelance work for louisville.com.

Ever since I was a little kid, animation has always inspired me and fueled my imagination. It excited me to see stories that I could relate to shown in new and creative ways. Along with animating, one of my favorite creative outlets is writing and illustrating children's poetry. I believe that with the right approach and a diligent perspective you can spread any message effectively through an animation, film, illustration, even a poem.
