After leaving Kingston, with a B.A degree in fashion. I spent the next eleven years working in the fashion industry as an illustrator, designer and part time lecturer, in and around London. I moved away from pure fashion and concentrated on developing various figurative styles that could be adapted into children’s book illustration. For the last 20 years I have worked consistently in the educational and children's picture books market. My portfolio encompasses a wide range of subject matter and styles (although my first love is still the human form) Having always used a traditional media, preference being watercolour and acrylic, I am thrilled to be accomplished now digitally through the use of tablet and computer-based creative software. You can find samples of my work on my website www.catherineward.co.uk
