Dear Employer, My name is Zebrina Holmes, I am a 19 year old City College of San Francisco Student. I just completed my first year of college as a freshman. I am a songwriter, singer & a book writer. I have not been published, but I do have a couple of songs that I do not see myself singing. I also write rap songs, gospel songs & more. I am very dedicated to my work & I always get things done at a fast paste. I am very determined to get my music out in the industry weather I sing it myself or someone sings it for me. I am positive that my music is the next big thing. I have samples of my music as well as my brothers music because we have formed a group. I ghost write for many people in the bay view community who seek me out. The mind is a very powerful tool & I consider everyone intelligent. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to review my cover letter & or resume. Zebrina Holmes Holmes.zebrina8@gmail.com Zebrinapitteard415@gmail.com

I am a professional, outgoing, and organized individual with experience in several fields, including administrative support, customer service, sales, and freelance services. I began my career over twenty years ago working in customer service as a hotel front desk agent. I worked for several different hotels and inns and it was during this time that my love of travel began. I attended college with a major in travel and tourism in order to expand my knowledge of the travel industry. I have held many different positions in the retail sales industry and have held several different positions within that industry. My position experiences in retail sales include sales assistant, store manager, and bridal registry manager. I truly enjoyed working with the customers, and also enjoyed managing the stores and working closely with customers and personnel alike. I learned to read plan-o-grams and reset merchandise. I took great pride in having one of the top stores in the district as far as sales goals and customer satisfaction. Although I was a great sales person, and did enjoy assisting customers in their choices, after several years I decided to switch career paths. I held my first office position when I began working for Signing America which is a sign company located in Florida that specializes in DOT signage, as well as basic generic signs such as stop signs, yield signs, street signs, etc. They also create custom signs and my position there consisted of assisting customers with their signing orders and writing up purchase orders. I worked very closely with both management and the warehouse staff and I would consider my position there as, sort of, the middle contact between the two. It was in this position too that I started working with payroll, AP/AR, staff scheduling, etc. I really enjoyed working with the people at Signing America and remained there for a little over a year. I went on maternity leave in May and had my daughter in July of ’98. I resigned my position with the sign shop in December of ’98 after deciding to be a stay at home mom for a few years. My second daughter and last child was born in December of ’99. The last position I held outside the home was as administrative support at Belk Department Store. I held the position of administrative assistant and my duties included staff scheduling for all store departments, payroll, assisting new hires, maintaining employee files, store inventory, etc. I enjoyed this position and after moving out of the area I began working virtually doing administrative projects. I began taking online courses at Kaplan University and entered a writing contest that they were having. The contest, an essay contest, had over 2500 entries and my essay came in second place. Along with winning a 500.00 prize I also regained my interest in writing again. I began adding writing to my virtual freelancing. I continue to work strictly virtually today. I have completed many different projects over the years including administrative tasks and some projects more on the creative side. I have worked in transcription, and article writing. I have designed resumes, designed websites, created several logos, and I design custom invitations for weddings and other special events, etc. Writing will always be my passion. I enjoy everything I cover whether it be a travel related article or something more journalistic, such as covering current events. In my spare time I continue to work on a novel that has been in the works for many years. Though I could certainly recite the entire story from beginning to end, simply from memory, I have not sat down and committed it to paper, but that is certainly a goal I intend to complete. Education Kaplan University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida ? Business Major attended for two years. John Jay High School, East Fishkill, NY. . I am a Professional Screenwriter and have worked in Film, TV & Animation and a Member of The Writer’s Guild of America. I’ve had Experience in Hollywood as well as the Independent Film World and Europe. My Writing Life Adventures have taken me around the block more than a few times. I’ve seen the Good, the Bad and yes...even the Ugly. I’ve Written for Fox, Disney, HBO, Dark Horse, Universal, Cartoon Network, New World Pictures, Sony-Tri Star, Vestron and more. Including The Beatles. I'm an NYU Dramatic Writing Program Masters Graduate (selling my first few Scripts to Hollywood while still there). NYU was a Wonderful Experience and a Great Time in My Life . I am known as a Creative, Left-of- Center, Eccentric and Good Character Writer. My work usually has plenty of Heart & Humor. Specializing in The Human Comedy that is a bit eclectic, offbeat and usually History based. Much of My Work comes from a True Moment in Time that is usually Stranger-than-Fiction. I have written a number of Screenplays, which have been Sold/Optioned/Developed. Screenwriting is a tough game, a strange mix of Creativity and Craft. It is not something for the Faint of Heart but when it goes right and You create something Truly Special, Original and Unique, there is nothing like it. I've developed a number of TV Shows, one of which Sony Tri-Star and Industry Entertainment and nearly set up at CBS. It is one of those Projects, that there is always interest in. I‘ve Written for The HBO Series, TALES FROM THE CRYPT as well as writing a Movie which was shot for Hollywood Legend, Roger Corman. Beyond all the Live Action, I have done some Animation Writing - most notably THE REAL ADVENTURES OF JOHNNY QUEST for Hanna-Barbera and The Cartoon Network. I've also worked on several other less prestigious Animated Shows, some which were based in Europe. I've also done a great deal of Rock & Roll Writing for Bands such as The Who, The Beatles Official Website, KISS, Motley Crue, The Woodstock Brand and more. A List of Available Movie & TV Projects will be provided by request. All Projects are Registered with The Writer’s Guild of America and Highly protected by My Entertainment Attorney. I look forward to Hearing from You. Thanks.
