I am a Fine artist who specialises in drawing, painting, performance, photography, layout design and more recently video production, editing and obvious conceptualisation thereof. My interests also include illustration and animation of which, due to further training, I will soon be proficient in. My style is rather melancholic, as I tend to portray unspoken "realities" which pertain to themes of identity, othering, and perception. Although this is my personal subject choice, having enjoyed the conceptual freedom offered within an educational environment, I am excited about the possibility of being exposed to new ideas, formats and stylistic challenges. I am extremely passionate about my field and interests therein and thrive under a high pressure environment.

I am largely a self-taught painter and illustrator, though I studied Visual Art and Illustration at Capilano University in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for 5 years. I enjoy working in a figurative and detailed way and I aim to make my work expressive and visually interesting through tone and mark-making. My recent graphic works, in process, take on a life of their own and seem to evolve into contemplative exercises. I get lost in them, and am often surprised when I pin them to my studio wall and discover what they’ve become as a unified whole. I also have several years of experience working with children in the school system. I believe this makes me a valuable asset to have because I have tremendous amounts of knowledge towards children's likes and dislikes - I know how to grab the attention of your audience through illustration.
