I am an artist and writer. I have a lot of great ideas, but my artwork is not quite professional/commercial enough to sell on my own. I'm looking toward making a graphic novel or comic series with some of the characters I've created.

I am a traditional artist working with pencil (graphite and colored), watercolors (my favorite), and occasionally oils and acrylics. I enjoy landscapes the most, but can do most any subject matter some better than others. I also do 3D modeling and logo designs, and I have done lots of freelance work editing photos. Another area of creative output I enjoy is writing children's stories, poetry, and other short stories.

I am a freelance illustrator who currently lives in the historic section of Quincy, MA. Sketching and drawing is a passion since I was just a little guy. Yes, I play guitar and harmonica grooving to the blues. I love animation films, especially anything from Pixar and Disney. The use of color from these films has influenced my own color work. My Spanish upbringing also influenced my creativity, especially my Mom’s deserts. I enjoy making brownies with chocolate frosting and decorative Mexican icons. No salsa, please. When I am not drawing you will find me writing. I would like to create my own children's book which is one of my interests. I am always visiting the Boston Library children’s section for inspiration. So many fun books to read. After graduating from Massachusetts College of Art I started freelancing as a designer and gradually was offered more illustration commissions. I have worked for design studios, magazines, and children’s book publishers. I have been a digital instructor at Montserrat College of Art and Wentworth Institute of Technology. I enjoy relaxing playing my guitar and harmonica with the Harmony Gritz band. I have such a great time and it’s great therapy.

WHO First and foremost, I am a creative designer. Yet, I do not practice “creative for creative’s” sake. My work is always the meaningful end product of a carefully thought out marketing strategy. I do not immediately assume the solution to a client’s problem. Great creative power can only be the result of great marketing discipline. I have an enviable track record of staying within budget by estimating accurately and controlling costs at every step of the production process. Work does not begin until a client approves and signs estimates. WHAT I believe in developing a communications plan, an umbrella that covers the entire spectrum of the marketing mix. True insight into your needs can only be developed by evaluating the whole picture. I believe in looking at your communications expenditures as an investment, one that should work hard at giving you a return. I take a very prudent approach with your money. Every conceivable step is taken to ensure you get the very most out of every communications dollar you spend. I believe in big ideas. HOW Everything I do is designed to contribute to our client’s success. First I do my homework. The legal profession likes to refer to this as “due diligence.” I educate myself at my expense, not yours. I know how to study. And quickly. No matter how educated I become about your company, I will never tell you how to run your business. My job is to promote your business. I continually look at myself as your creative partner who not only shares in your problems, but also in your visions. My editing experience has included a wide variety of documents, including academic papers, proposals, and legal and marketing documents. These projects, a number of which were book-length, have required a range of formats and styles. Many people have turned to me repeatedly for editing and given rave reviews. While most of my work in over 20 years’ employment with Howrey LLP and freelancing was editing – including rewriting – and proofreading, I took on other projects in this position, and am a quick study.
