I am currently the editor of la demur magazine and finishing up ghost writing for another client. I have been a writer all my life but it really took off when I won an essay contest required by all seniors in my high school called "What Memorial Day Means to Me". Out of 200 entries, I won first place and moved from poetry to essay writing. I majored in Communications in college with a concentration in writing and had a 3.4 GPA in my major. I became an amateur photographer after I had my first child but have really built on that and become highly proficient at it. I also run my own business making jewelry which has become quite popular. I also set up and wrote all the blog entries for www.everydaycouponing.com. I have started writing my first book and am taking it slow utilizing writing conferences, writing classes and books on writing. I have a library of writing books that would make your chin drop.

I am 15 years old,a tenth grade High School student and, I am an aspiring animator. I love to draw people and cartoons, but will draw anything else you can throw at me. I can draw anything from dark and murderous to cute and charming. I attended a special program held in 2009 at Middlesex County College for middle school students and finished the 12-week program with honors. I have also done a backdrop piece (a car) for a play at my school and done a drawing for my school's yearbook. Several people have recently asked me to design tattos for them. I've also done several other impressive things that you probably won't bother to read about anyway.

During my first project with INPO my project manager presented me with the challenge of developing a 30 minute interactive training program in the style of a cd-rom point and click adventure. Working from a script developed to highlight interactivity and narration I created all of the visual assets from original designs to customized off the shelf resources. The software pipeline included Flash, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Autodesk Maya with final deployment as a flash web application. The final launch of the respiratory protection training program was a success, increasing completion rates over 8 points. INPO was impressed enough with my delivery and skill set to offer me a chance to tackle a larger project with a more hands on role in the development of interactive activities and visual design of a program addressing cyber security awareness. Specifically cyber security for nuclear power sites in the United States and abroad. The duration of the cyber project spanned over nine months. I was instrumental in the design phase creating the look and feel of the new course from the ground up. The goal was to create a professional looking interface that was modular and easy to approach from an end user perspective. The greatest challenge was developing a production pipeline that could accommodate audio script changes on the fly and replacement of assets as needed. The most rewarding aspect was acquiring new skills in 3D modeling and design. The launch of the cyber package was a success and my role as a design lead helped create a production package that can be utilized to create new content as needed in the dynamic area of cyber security. Verizon Wireless/ July-August, 2008 Light-box Studios, Llc / Dualbo, Inc Character Design/ Sequence Illustration The work with Verizon pertained to working with a director to match the style and direction of rough boards that demonstrated composition and timing for the animated sequences. My job was to finalize full color renderings of the characters and props to be composite with the final background illustrations. Intel-Lenovo/ April-July, 2008 Light-box Studios, Llc / Dualbo, Inc Character Design/ Animation Background Design I designed original characters and backgrounds for three separate spots. Each spot centered on an Olympic sporting event. Pitting the Intel team against an opposing team representing Intel competitors. Awesome Inc./ December, 2006-January, 2007 Cartoon Network Foster’s Home for imaginary Friends Interstitials Animation Direction/ Storyboarding/ Character Animation A series of seven commercial Interstitials needed to complete within a deadline of four weeks from storyboarding to final animation. I was in charge of implementing a roadmap and division of labor to complete each thirty second spot. After working with the production supervisor I suggested that rough animation layout completed in flash would be the best way to plan out the action for each spot based on the supplied scripts for the client. The overall work was broken up between three story artists that were to take the script and flesh out the sequence of action. I completed storyboards for three of the seven spots. Once the storyboards were reviewed they were synced with the supplied dialogue audio tracks and timed for final animation. The final animation was completed within the last two and a half weeks of the production schedule. These layout keys would then be submitted to the animation supervisor for quality control and initial approval. After receiving directing notes I would continue to complete the final animation. Final animation was completed on average 15 seconds per week, and reviewed by the animation supervisor and director. My work on the Mini Cooper commercial comprised of me receiving finished storyboards from the director of the commercial along with the audio track. I also held a temporary position as a file clerk in the scanning department. There we scanned invoices into the computer system and filed them according to the department regulations. Reason for Exit: To stay at home with two young daughters, who are now 17 and 13 years old. Personal Statement: I attended High School where I studied Office Occupations and dabbled in amateur photography, writing my Senior Term Paper on the subject of Photography. I then automatically entered into the workforce upon graduation, I was not able to attend college because of family finances. Because the clerical field was not of interest to me, I went from one job to another trying to find satisfaction and a position that would allow me to use my creative abilities. When my youngest daughter was born, she had many complications and was often ill. So, I decided to leave the workforce and become a stay at home mother. My oldest daughter entered her first year of High School in 2008, exactly 20 years from the date that I graduated and from the same High School, I might add. My family then began to encourage me to pursue my passion of photography. I then began to research schools to find a college that would best suit my needs. Finding The Art Institute was a blessing. I am able to study part time on the fascinating field of Photography and now that my children are older, I am able to start applying for part time positions to aid in financing my education.
