My chosen profession over the past 20 years has been as a writer. Mostly I have written grant proposals for nonprofit organizations. In addition, I have written blogs, articles for trade journals and press releases for different companies both in the U.S. and for clients in Russia, Turkey, South Africa and the Democratic Republic -Congo. I have also ghostwritten papers for military cadets at Texas A&M on subjects such as "The Most Prolific Women Snipes of WW2" and "Deployment and Use of Rotary Wing Aircraft - Korea to Iraq." I have mastered the use of research to enhance my writing ability, especially on subjects I have little or no knowledge about. I am, in my spare time, currently engaged in writing a Creative Non-fiction novel entitled, A Long Ride To Glory©2017 about events leading up to and the fight best known as The Little Big Horn. Because of my use of research techniques I have found that any subject can be written about with knowledge and authority.

Hi! My name is Mike I am an artist based in Cairns Australia. My love for animals stems from my childhood growing up in South Africa, where many family holidays were spent in the Kruger National Park spotting the wild animals on the great African plains. As my passion for wildlife grew so did my desire to capture the moment with photography and sketches. I then began to sketch my pets, loving how each and every one of them had a completely different personality that could be captured on paper. I then had a few requests from friends to draw their pets and the demand grew from there. Pets become part of the family; a pet portrait is a perfect way to cherish a memory of a much-loved pet. I find they are more personal than a photograph. They also make an ideal gift too.
