Jared Ortega Videographer• Editor Education:Bachelors of Arts and Sciences: New Mexico State University Major: Digital Filmmaking Minor: Astronomy GPA: 3.7 Work Experience: KEYE-TV (CBS Austin, TX) & KVIA-TV (ABC El Paso, TX) Position – Videographer / Editor/ Reporter June 2006 - Present Working in the news business has given me the opportunity to shoot and edit video on a daily basis under extremely tough deadlines. It’s made me a sharp instrument of videography and a smooth editor. I can create a polished product from idea to air in the matter of a couple of hours. I’ve done this for 4 years. I work with full sized HD news cameras as well as DSLRs and GoPros. In the edit bay I’m most comfortable with Final Cut Pro, and I know how to edit on Avid and Premier. I work with lighting daily, mostly 3 point, unless the story calls for more. I also know how to light and shoot green and blue screen. Writing and reporting are also in my skill set although not as polished as my production work. New Mexico Spaceport Authority (Spaceport America) Position – Web Media Editor April - October 2011 I worked with Spaceport America to create multimedia content for the website and social media (i.e. videos, news releases, webcasts, blog posts, photography, and podcasts) I updated the website daily using HTML and was in charge of being the companies voice on social media. I was also in charge of the preparation, filming, and broadcast of rocket launch activity. Spaceport America has been the greatest story I have every had the opportunity to record and tell on video. Freelance Writer, Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Editor August 2007- Present In the filmmaking realm I have worked on everything from Hollywood budget to no budget films. I also do my own movies when feeling extra inspired. My most recent film was a 15 minute short titled “Grief Mop” which is a story of an over worked Paramedic in El Paso, Texas. The film was loosely based on my own true life experience as an Emergency Medical Technician working on an ambulance. I raised over $3000 to fund the film and I employed around 25 crew members. I wrote the script over the span of a year as an EMT working in the field. I worked for several months finding locations to film, getting city permits, finding appropriate costumes and props, auditioning and hiring actors, and acquiring HD digital film, sound, and lighting equipment. Films titled Warrior (2011), Away We Go (2009), Burning Plain (2008) Position - Set Production Assistant September 2008- June 2011 As a Production Assistant I would run errands for cast and crew. I was instrumental in smoothing over problems and issues on set regarding the locations. I helped in the negotiations with location owners about storing trucks, equipment, extras holding/ catering. All three movies had budgets greater than $25million so stakes were high and doing the job right the first time was crucial. Awards: Four Lone Star Regional Student Emmy’s. First Place short film in the “Ghost Light 48 hour Film Festival” Personal Interests: Inspiring others through visual arts will forever be my life long love and passion. Aside from that I’m a huge science enthusiast with emphasis on astronomy and medicine. I’m starting my own science news website called ScienceNewsNow.org. I also enjoy skateboarding, going to live concerts, and cruising on my motorcycle in my free time. References Upon Request. My name is Tanner McBride. I'm a songwriter by birth, however I am drawn to all types of writing. Writing allows me to engineer a world that has yet to be born; to shape the way that the reader views a certain topic. I am fairly new to this world, so I don't have a lot of experience with the freelance world. However I have been writing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. Since I am new to this and I'm not sure exactly how compensation works, price will definitely be negotiable.

Jobs and Volunteer Work Pure Fashion (2009-2012) Description: Pure Fashion is a nonprofit organization that encourages young teenage girls to dress modestly and still be fashionable. There are numerous volunteer services and retreats that come with the job of being a model. After modeling for a year, the girls are allowed to move up and become group leaders and lead their own group of girls. This allows everyone the opportunity to practice their leadership skills and develop communication skills. Achievements and Personal Goals: During my time as a model, I developed my communication and leadership skills and transformed from being a skater, tomboy to a young lady. At first, my parents only wanted me to join because I was too “boy like.” (I grew up being the only girl for a while.) After modeling for two years and getting to bond with my group of friends; I decided to work my way up and become a leader. I taught six young girls how to model and dress properly while still being fashionable. Volunteer Work: My favorite volunteer activity that we participated in was helping out at the Atlanta Woman’s Shelter. While I was there I will never forget the impact one woman had on my life. I met a woman who had lost everything she had within a week; her family, money and her home. She told me she refused to become a ********** to pay the bills that piled up, which resulted in her staying at the women’s shelter. She now shares a room with thirty other women. I asked her if she could have a second chance, what she would do differently. She answered me saying, “I would appreciate everything I had for every second that I had it because you never know what you have until you lose it all.” Ever since then I’ve learned to appreciate everything I have, even the little things. Trader Joes (2012-Present) Description: Trader Joes is a grocery store that originated in California and branched out across the United States. The job description as a Crew Member is being able to provide an amazing experience with every customer that walks in the doors. Crew Members preform the following tasks: cashier, “helmser” (our version of walking around the store to see if people need help locating items or want to sample various things), cleaning the store, stocking the shelves throughout the day and breaking down pallets. Achievements and Personal Goals: Everyone at the store is required to have KAIZEN. This is Japanese for personal goals. Each Crew Member is to set a task for their own success in the company. My personal goal was to greet everyone that smiled at me and learn the regular customer’s names. I can recognize all of their faces, but memorizing names is harder than it sounds. I do my best every day to make sure I make each customer I come in contact with a little happier than when they first walked in the doors. Student Athletic Trainer (2013 August – December) Description: As a student athletic trainer, the job requires the student to learn about the body, muscles, joints and injuries an athlete could acquire during a game. We were trained to be first responders when something were to go wrong during an event. We learned how to preform CPR, tape different parts of the body, stretch, operate medical machines, and handle health documents. Achievements and Personal Goals: Our motto was “Believing in a purpose that is bigger than ourselves. The Berry College Sports Medicine Department labors to care for the student athletes and the Berry community with a mind of INTEGRITY, a heart of COMPASSION, hands of SERVICE, and in a spirit of UNITY.” While I attended Berry College I took this motto very seriously and lived it out each day not only on the field, but also in life. My personal achievement here was helping to save my friend who suffered from a knee injury and tore is PCL and ACL. As a first responder, I took precaution in treating his injury and I made sure he was taken to the hospital safely. Education High school diploma | may 24, 2013 | cambridge high school milton, ga Skills & Abilities Management During my time as an athletic trainer I was in charge of keeping my athletes medical files up to date and filing injury reports. Sales While working with Trader Joes, my ability to persuade people into purchasing items that they didn’t even intend to buy in the first place improved dramatically. Persuading people has always been a gift of mine. Communication and leadership While leading a team in Pure Fashion and working at Trader Joes, my communication and leadership skills developed quickly over the course of a few years. I believe that I am better off now than I was before I joined each of these organizations. Experience graphics designer | Feburary 1, 2013-present I am presently enrolled in a six week online class at Kennesaw State University to become a certified graphics designer.

Internet is a wonderful media and thanks to it you could be reaching not only the English speakers and believers, but to make your books, articles or other information available to the ever growing number of Spanish speakers and believers not only in my country: Spain, but in all Latin America and spread in many different parts of the world, so it could also be a blessing for them. I consider translating books, article and other information that has to do with our faith my small ministry. I have over 47 years experience, kindly read this information. Please take note of slight change in my email address: Rhode@Flores-translations.net. I look forward to hearing from you, Abba bless you toddah rabbah. It is my sincere and constant prayer that our Abba ve shamaim who knows our hearts will make it possible for me to continue to find opportunities. I consider translation as my small ministry and I do my work with love, passion and faithfulness to Messiah Yeshua. We are Messianic believers and have our home congregation at BatZion in Springs, Texas. http://battzion.org/ http://flores-translations.net/Home.php and http://rhodeflores2.language123.com/ This is a very complete information regarding my over 45 years experience as a freelance translator, interpreter, transcriptionist and author. I have transcribed 400 tapes for a Messianic ministry. Please see also the next two emails with samples of my work. I look forward to your kind information. I have just finished translating of my 118th book into Spanish: THE JEWISH NEW TESTAMENT. (Includes list of books below). Wouldn't it be wonderful to make your important books, novels, articles, Web pages and other information available in SPANISH too? Wouldn't that be a fantastic idea? I am also sending a couple of emails with articles in English and Spanish and if you have any questions I will be of course be pleased to answer them. There are a couple of article I translated a few years ago in: (www.torahresource.com). I am also a writer, have one novel published in Spanish and another one in English as you will see below. At this time I am also looking into the opportunities of doing what I did years ago which is writing articles for Christian magazines and would like to know if it is possible and what would you pay. For example see next article. I consider translation my personal ministry as well as my passion and in these very critical economical times I am convinced it is more important than ever to reach out to the ever increasing number of Spanish speakers. As I am sure you know the U.S. Census Bureau has projected there will be 102.6 million Hispanics living in the United States in 2050. Throughout the United States, the Hispanic buying power is already near $1 TRILLION per year - the largest of any minority group. With some Spanish translation, is it possible for me to cooperate with you in the translation ministry in which I have over 45 years experience? (Please see more on this issue). "We all know that in Spanish you need at least 20% more words than you use in English to say the same thing," says Schon, whose regular reviews in Booklist, the magazine of the American Library Association, can make or break a translated book's reputation. This is part of what literary experts define as the awakening of a new era in the book industry for U.S. Hispanics. Translation became one of my passions when I was preparing my "Proficiency in English" from Cambridge University, which included English Language, literature RICHARD II of Shakespeare and translation. I was 16 when I translated my first book. These are very critical economical times and reading can often become a very welcome pastime. My daughter and I have always been passionate readers and in my parent's home in Madrid we had a library that covered 3 walls from the floor to the ceiling in several languages. (Please see next email with a couple of samples of translation). I translated many of these articles: http://www.raystedman.org/spanish/index.html http://www.torahresource.com I also have experience translating journalistic, psychology and psychiatry subjects and have read many books on these fascinating subjects in English, Spanish and French and I have also translated many articles on the subject of EDUCATION in the USA. I have translated a total of ONE HUNDRED & SEVENTEEN books (including one by brother Charles Colson), one from French and the rest from English into Spanish, 129 articles for an encyclopedia in Madrid, SPAIN where I am from (please see lists below) done simultaneous translating in conferences in Austria, France and Spain, editing, proofreading, dubbing, transcribed 400 tapes. I also have a novel published in Spanish "Amanecer entre sombras" (sunrise among shadows) and my second novel "ABBA, LET ME SERVE YOU" was published by PUBLISH AMERICA. http://www.publishamerica.com/greetingcardpro/createcard1.asp?PostCardID=26398 Send an electronic postcard now! Abba, Let Me Serve You Rhode Flores Barceló Each one of the characters in this short story is part of my imagination, but at the same time the reality of life’s experiences; those things that touch us and make us what we become inevitably and in a very real way make up the main argument that is reflected in each of the pages not only of this book, but most importantly of our lives. Life grows, changes and colors the events that take place, touching the lives of others and molding the thoughts of the different characters because deep inside those of us who base our lives on the EMET, truth in Hebrew, of the Torah or Word of God and Messiah Yeshua, become the open book in which we make it possible for Messiah to write and to fashion our lives. I have written a third novel "Marina, my own private Jericho" which I have sent to a Messianic publisher and I am waiting on their decision and welcome any information regarding its publication. I also used to write (and had published) articles for 3 Evangelical magazines in Spain and I have written several poems in English, one of which was published in a book. Composition was the subject I loved most when I went to the British Institute School in Madrid, so writing has always been one of my passions, as well as being an avid reader. I previously translated many Web pages and other materials I have not included for the sake of space. (I was educated in the "British Institute School" in Madrid till the age of 15 and then got my "Proficiency in English" (English language, literature including Richard II of Shakespeare and translation) from Cambridge University. Because Spanish speakers in the United States come from many countries, as you might know it is wiser to use experienced, professional translators who know universal Spanish, which is what I offer because mine is Castilian SPANISH from Madrid, SPAIN; avoid regional or national idioms except when the style or dialog call for them. As you know this is one of the fastest growing markets in the United States and SPANISH is here to stay!!! Call me today to learn how easy and necessary are our services to millions of Spanish speaking people not only in Spain, South and Central America and other countries like Israel where Spanish is spoken extensively, but here in the USA where it is becoming an indispensable language. Hello, I have not only had extensive writing experience in compiling personal reviews of television programs and in compiling regular notations that reflect upon issues affecting the lives of people close to me or my own life, I am also now formalizing my writing ability by undertaking a Masters in writing. My writing has more recently involved undertaking a Theoretical Discussion of Integrity and therefore it is able to be said that my writing ability is adaptable to a large variety of genres and situations.
