Talisha Harrison is a writer from Longwood, Florida. She has written over 500 hundred poems to date. Her first poetry book was published in 2006 at her community college’s print shop. In 2000, she graduated high school and in 2003 graduated with honors from Seminole Community College. In December of 2006, Talisha graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida, majoring in Liberal studies with a minor in Health Sciences. In 2012, her first comic book script “Defect Light to Combat the Darkness” was accepted to the women-created comic book anthology Womanthology: Heroic created by Renae De Liz. She was paired with artist Kelly Turnbull. She also wrote a one page story for the Womanthology Holiday PDF & Valentine’s Day special with artist Brenda Kirk titled “Don’t Let the Light Go Out” and “June”. In 2013 two of her stories were published in Grayhaven Comics’ The Gathering Comic All Women’s 2 and Crime anthologies. Tali is an Managing Editor at Affinity Press and is also the editor and creator of Kehila Magazine, an online quarterly magazine for Jews of Color. She’s also contributed articles and news stories to GonnaGeek.com, Nerdshuttle.com, ComicsCrux.com, Talkingcomicbooks.com, ToonariPost.com, WhyNotIndie.com & Fanboybuzz.com. Currently, Tali works at her alma mater while continuing to write poems, and stories that she hopes to publish in the future. In 2013, the second edition of The Unconsciousness of an Ethiopian Princess College Days of Future Past was self-published in print as well as ebook formats. Her next book titled Where My Imagination Takes Me A Collection of Short Stories and Flash Fiction was self-published in January of this year.
