My name is Kelly Straughn. I have been writing for as long as I can remember. I have a two man band called "Far From Dakota", and we perform all original songs. I enjoy the performing aspect, however, my passion is for writing in hopes of someone great singing my songs. I have over 300 finished songs and I would love to pass some along to the right person(s). If you are interested in working with me, please contact me. I have always felt that lyrics are the very thing that make a song great! Personal experiences and observations of other peoples experiences are exactly what my songs are based on. They are close to my heart and inspired by the greats in music! Those songs in which carried us all through tough times and helped us celebrate the great times! Music needs more truth. People need the truth. Thank you for taking a moment to read this.
