My life has been creative. I have a natural talent to see things the way others can not. When I was a little girl, I took cartooning art at a nearby college and pursued that for 6 years. When it was time for advanced art in school, my portfolio was accepted and I made it. When high school started, I jumped at the chance of taking art electives, such as sculptures, ceramics, and creative writing. I attended a vocational school, advertising art was the only option. At this time, I went to my favorite art teacher and asked her opinion on my mixed feelings. She said "Simone, you've always done art for yourself. You expressed yourself through paintings, etc. and now you may be requested to create pieces for other people, that's different for you." This amazed me. How could someone interpret my art better than I could? And this is when I realized this vocational class may be perfect. For the population to view it as they please, is what I thought commercial art may be. I received a 97 in that class, and a degree. I am extremely detail-orientated, but when it comes to art, I find the most beautiful pieces are the unknown.
