I started designing marketing collaterals and ads for Summit Publishing (Cosmopolitan, FHM, OK, Preview, Top Gear, Yes etc.), I was in charge of conceptualizing designs as tools in marketing all magazine titles back in 1999. In my stint as graphic artist, I was able to design templates for in-house advertisements and advertorials which are still being used presently by their marketing department. After a year, Seventeen Philippines hired me as their art director. For four years,we were able to produce the best teen mag in the country. I jumped from Summit to ABS-CBN Publishing in late 2004 to handle their flagship title StarStudio Magazine. At present, I am is the art director of ABS-CBN Publishing’s Kris Aquino magazine. His work entails attending cover shoots and laying out the magazine’s 120+ pages. He had a 30-month stint with Hinge Inquirer Publications, serving as Creative Director, manning its Custom Publications department of 6 graphic artists after 15 moths as Commercial Magazines Creative Director. In his almost three years in the company, he has conceptualized 5 new commercial magazines (gaming, business, gadget, cooking and children’s ) and a slew of custom (Epson, Honda, Bench, etc.) and community titles (Southern Living, Northern Living, SouthSide, Magallanes Update).
