Given my background in sociology (I studied at the University of Minnesota), I love to watch people. It always fascinates me to figure out what exactly makes them tick, as each one is driven by their own individualized set of desires and dysfunctions. I would definitely describe myself as an introvert, which I think gives me an outside perspective of the social world. My worldview is the only of it's kind. I have lived my entire live in the cold, cold state of Minnesota, much to my own disenchantment. I still don't understand why they built a metropolitan area in a region that is seriously uninhabitable for a couple months every year. I also find it to be a particularly polarized place in which the collective consciousness of it's people borders upon bipolar disorder, but it is still my home. I grew up in a large suburban town with a small town mentality, characterized by 'white flight' from the big bad progressive city of Minneapolis, where I studied and lived for four years. I am also gay, so growing up surrounded by people who voted for Michelle Bachman was irking, disheartening, and called for a very awkward adolescence, probably the root cause of my introversion. Because of where I grew, up, religion and sexuality are common themes in my writing, and I hope my experience growing up has made me a stronger person. I love laughter- the joy it brings and it's subtle power to change peoples minds and ways of thinking, while lifting their spirits simultaneously. Writing and performing a stand-up comedy act is a very important goal of mine, and a hopeful career path in the long term. As a writer, I am intelligent and thoughtful. My work is passionate, cohesive, and polished. I am something of a perfectionist and a bit obsessive at times, which has been an obstacle in the past when I write; but at some point I learned to find ways around my dysfunctions, as one does. Writing is something I truly love to do, especially creative writing. I really enjoy the endless possible combinations of words to express an abstract thought or idea. To write professionally is my strongest desire, it is what drives me.

Mediums: I work in many mediums, my favorites are water based clay and watercolor panints. I also sculpt in polymer clay, oil clay and acrylic resin. I work in acrylic paints, pen and ink, graphite, colored pencils, and occasionally markers. I am reasonable proficient in Photoshop and several other Adobe programs and can render any of my artwork into digital media for print or electronic use and line work to vector as needed. I have done posters and logos. I also make my own molds as needed, usually silicon. I can sculpt in foam for larger pieces if provided with an appropriate location. I do theatrical and f/x makeup and face painting. My style: I do wander about some but there are consistent traits to my work. I tend towards art that tells a story. The personality of the subject (friendly, aggressive or curious etc.) is paramount. While I excel at simplifying complex forms so they are accessible to children or applicable to crafts, I am not a cartoonist by nature. Subjects: I can’t think of any uninteresting subjects but I’m keep coming back to bugs and bones. The bugs and other small creatures are actually rather charming nature pictures. The bones are skeletal folk engaged in different activities similar to traditional Day of the Dead pictures or start as images taken from archeology or anthropology sources: bones have always fascinated me. My rates do vary some according to how much experience I have in the medium, the rate below is something of an average. Full resume, references, shows lists, client lists, testimonials etc. available on request.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia in November, raised in North West Atlanta Bankhead Court, Christian Artist Tony Amey when asked, “What inspired him to sing”? Answered jokingly, “Have you seen Bankhead Court, I had to do something to get out of there, but seriously, I grew up singing. When I was a boy my mother would gather the seven of us together and we’d have house service (church) my mother, who had a beautiful singing voice herself, would read Bible scriptures to us and explain them. We’d all sing songs and pray. I suppose somewhere along the way the singing stuck, so much so that at eight years old, I wrote my first song. Laughingly, “Don’t even as me to sing it, I don’t remember the words or the melody”. After asking, Tony “What are you looking to do in the Christian music industry”. He replies, “Writing and producing while being an artist, I’m going to add more souls to the Kingdom of God through my music, and he excitedly adds, Christ has been touching souls already, through my CD titled “Broken” and also through the outreach street ministry my family, friends and I do every summer through fall in local communities throughout Atlanta. Dreamily, he says, “Imagine the spirit that would be poured out on a national or international level. I understand that no man or woman is an island unto him or herself, I know I need Gods’ help through man to make this happen. Do you have experience in the music industry, Tony? Yes, but that was for the other side, he laughs. I was one of the lead singers in the group “A Few Good Men” back in the early to mid 1990’s. We were signed to LaFace Records; we did international tours, performed on Soul Train, BET and a host of other television shows. I’ve done shows with Monica, Lavert, the Ojays and others. I’ve worked with Artist such as Usher, Toni Braxton and TLC, also I sang background on Bobbie Brown and Whitney Houston single, “Something In Common”. Well before I was ever signed I was part of an opening act for an R Kelly concert. Wow, how do you feel about having worked with such prestigious acts? Singing R&B was fun back then, but this isn't just about singing it’s fulfilling and purpose driven, I really want to share it, and my testimonies with the world to help somebody and win souls for the Kingdom because Jesus did the Most Prestigious Act of all
